Alrighty, then. I was already a MSL on live. And I respecced to also complete MBH. Now, what to do with the remaining points? At present they are all dumped into Master Marksman, with 4 left over for (maybe) the FS Ranged Speed line.

Options I see (dropping MM):

  1. Get a Novice box & two lines of any other (but which?) elite ranged prof.,

  2. get Unarmed IV, Novice Commando, and the Grenade line, or

  3. as #2 but get the Flamethrower line, instead.

  4. Get Unarmed IV & go for some hot Smuggler action.

  5. leave as is.

  6. Other.

Any opinions?

2 lines of rifel give you lots of offensive power. When used in combo with MBH could be very deadly.

2 lines of Carbineer would give you good knockdown and CC. When used with MBH very powerful.

Pistoleer....meh.

Exactly. But Pistoleer would tend to complement the Intimidator.

MBH gives you enough. Go carbineer so when you do charge shot with the intimidator pistol you run towards the target one arm in the air!

I tried Option #2 on TC-Ep3 tonite. Grenades rocked, and the defenses are good. I might run with that as my final respec, then later go with 2 lines of Rifleman after they close the window.

i've chosen MSL / MBH / Pistol 0404

i've come to these conclusions by doing some number crunching and found:

1) best accuracy comes w/ rifles then carbs then pistols

2) best speed is a tie with either rifles or carbs, but pistols has a much lower drop off than w/ accuracy

3) on average, defenses for both ranged and melee are best w/ pistol trees, regardless of actual weapon used

4) the desparity of differences is largest in favor ofpistols when comparing the three.

5) despite #4, Rifles has the best ranged defense even over pistols, but their melee defense suffers much for it.

when i was originally playing w/ the temp, i was going for two trees in rifles for the extra damage....i think it was 4040. but then i noticed that rifle melee defenses are lackingwhile pistols are even between melee and ranged.

the specifics for defenses (using format of melee/ranged):

1) rifles have a base of 175/230 and increases to 195/250 when equiping a rifle

2) carbs have a base of 200/205 and increases to 220/225 when equiping a carbine

3) pistols have a base of 215/215 and increases to 245/245 when equiping a pistol

to summarize for your playstyle: for best defenses go w/ pistols, for best offense go w/ rifles. oh, and these numbers do notadd inSL passive def mods; our defenses will go up even higher when grouped!!

I chose the same template, but with Pistol 4031, this gives me additional speed (gettingmy intimidator to 509dps) and intimidate shot which is very important in my opinion.

This template rocks, because of how the timers work between Advanced Critical Shot, Torso Shot, and my 1.1spd pistol I can keep alternating them for 1100-1300 or so a shot.
