Thread: Greetings and some questions from a new squadleader

Hi to all you Squadleader Veterans 
Im new to the game, and even though I have heard alot of People saying that Squadleader is the forgotten child of the Devs I decided that I would give it a try, simply because I like the whole idea of it.
However, while planing my future as Master Squadleader some questions occured, and I hoped I would get some Advice here.
1:Wich ranged combat profession fits best with the role of a squadleader?
2:I heard that there are some Weapons limited only to Squadleaders, wich are these, and are they any good?

1. I say they all fit rather well, I'm trying Pistols/SL right now, and the Roots and States prove to be rather effective. Carbineer should be a solid choice too.
2. That would be the Intimidator Pistol and E5 (?) Carbine. The Intimidator has one of the best DPS' out of all the pistols, and is currently my weapon of choice.

Pistols for leveling SL (leveling SL requires Pistol xp.) Now you can get that via pistoleer or BH. Either way you only have to spend 14 extra SP on pre-reqs to qualify.

The EP-5 is a Carbine with a good DPS. It's available as Master Squad Leader. We also get the Intidimator Pistol at MSL which is a Kinetic based weapon. With the EP-5 being Energy and the Initmidator beingKinetic it gives us a goodway to switch weapons type based on the armour of the oponents, ie. Energy does well against Assault armour, Kinetic does well against Recon.

Master rifleman / master squadleader... It works great for me. i get to were assault armor wich is good since enemies like going melee and beat the crap out of me for some reason, and i get to yell: FORM UP YOU SLIME BALLS!!!

IMO carbiner is the best rounded range proffession. Good DPS, Good Range, Good Control, suits Squad leader perfectly.I'm new to the communitity as well, popping in from time to time,welcome.
