How or Where are the group def. bonus listed or shown? CNTRL C does not show it.

Is there quantifiable data showing a difference in the R/M defenses when grouped with a SL?

Also, When I use Rally...most fo the time it does not buff the group(just me)...the icon buff does not show on their names. It did work in the DWB. I launch Rally and the buff icon shown on all my teamates.

Does Rally not work in the open...just in dungeons? Does the icon need to be on my teammates in order for them to receive the Rally defense?

Or, like the innate group def....does the Rally add and invisible defense...not seen via icon or anything...they are just there (trust us....mmmm hmmm. i doubt it)

Thanks

It will not show the group defenses on them. This is a known issue that has been reported. Whether or not its working has also not been tested thoroughly

/rally seems to have a rather close AoE in its application. If group members are too far it seems not to apply.

Rally and group defenses do indeed work. I tested this with a guild mate as such:

1. Have target take off all armor. Shoot target around 20 times to ensure damage is always consistent.
2. Group target with you as the leader and shoot again. Damage will be lower due to Group Ranged Defense.
3. Use Rally and shoot again. Damage will be even lower due to large increase in defenses.

Regarding the Rally icon: I've noticed that in groups where some members are Combatant/SF (of either a friendly or enemy faction), the Rally icon will not show up for anyone except the SL. Whether or not the buff takes effect is unknown. Again, this is just a hunch based on limited experience with using the skill in mixed groups. When the group is small and all on leave, I never have a problem.

I been fooling around with Rally and..

No Rally icon. Period. In different groups at different places the icon does not show. Never know if it worked or not or when to renew.

Assuming it's bugged and the icon doesn't show I tried using Rally whole looking at my Character Sheet. My Accuracy, with rally, goes from 230 to 260... No other stats are changed. I thought it was supposed to boost defense, not accuracy.

I do stand still...

I figured out a while ago that with them moves that bring the little bar up that has to fill up you need to stand still... Just like when casting spells on FFXI, imagine that.

All it does is boost my accuracy by +30. No extra defense or anything and no icons.

Are you staying still while performing Rally? I've never had Rally fail to show an icon at least on my character. Watch the toolbar icon for the command as you're using it... does it flash with a red outline at some point?

I apologize if you're already aware of this.
