Thread: I'm sorry but why is it so hard to get the XP right?
First it was just based on our own personal performance and group size,
then it was just combat xp of group
then it was combat xp of group with a group size factor
now it is combat related xp of everyone (including SL)* the number in group
Man I made over 1million SL in about 2 hours last night. This was a group of 13 including pets.
It's like a class with multiple personality disorders

Group of 5 with our pets (so 10 in group altogether). Attacked bolma lairs on Dathomir.
I was averaging 8,000 Squad Leader XP per Bolma. And a whopping 17,000 SL XP upon destroying the lairs.
In about1 1/2hours, I capped out at 900,000 SL XP (enough for 2 4th tier boxes).
So essentially, if they ever make Squad Leader a good skill worth having, you could LITERALLY master it in 4 or 5 hours. The only thing slowing you down would be getting trained if there wasnt a Master Squad Leader already in the group.
Seems a bit excessive to me.
I got lucky there was another SL on Dath so when I capped at 900K the other SL was only 600m from me. I only had 3 boxes left so he taught me Strategy III and I taught him Mobility II and III and away we went. I'm sure he's master by now too, lol.
Make XP hard to get.
Make the skills worth it.
Saying "pull it together, men!" and maybe, sorta maybe getting rid of dizzystate is not worth it.
It took me days and dozens of camps to get novice, onlyto get my xp capped in an hour?
HELP!
the new formula make even more a mockery of our proffesion. Let us have decent skills and let the experience be hard to gain, just because its too easy to level other proffesions doesnt make that fine to make SL too easy to level.
OK heres the question...What do u think would be the right amount per kill on let say a bolma or kam...First ppl say oh 1000 isnt eought and alot of ppl said that is decreased by 10% right. so they bring it up to 10k..
GIve the devs an idea on how much xp should be givin per kill for high lvl.....
What bothers me the most (other than the fact that I spent 4 weeks trying to get to Master, suffering through the first XP change, only having 2 boxes left before they changed it AGAIN, and getting that in 30 minutes) is the fact that they're playing with this on the LIVE server. Why the heck didn't they test the first xp change on Test Center?!? THAT'S WHAT IT'S THERE FOR!!! If they make a MAJOR change (and messing with Xp algorithms IMO constitutes a MAJOR change), then it should have been on TC for at least 2 weeks prior to goinglive. What prompted this decision tomake the change on the live server in the first place? Scary.. very, very,scary.

I made 4-4-4-3 before ANY of the newer patches came out regarding how SL xp was earned. I had alot of fun working my way through the xp and I learned a lot too. Your right though, the new patch is def out of wack. Found that out tonight. I lead a group of 8 or so killing kam, got 50k xp in practically one lair. ?? This is a dissapointment. With all the new SL guys comming in because of the holocrons, they'll be master in less than a week. I have a feeling that this new formula will be around as long as the last one.

well i have to say:
i really dotn wanan be a snivveling *edit *whiner who complains if they do this and if they do that. I was mad before when they made it too hard to get liek when i was gettign 100 for high end MOBs.
HOWEVER,
i am proud of this profession. And if this XP goe son liek it has, this proff will be so easy to master once you gain novice it will be a joke. Itll make my MASTER title that i worked my rump off for with a lot of hard work (seriously) mean nothing when all the "new" SL's out there zip right up to master in a night.
the XP now is even better than it was originally.
PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEe fix it. Im gonna be ticked when i start seeing loads of master SL's running around when i struggled my butt off to get here.

I was working nicely towards Master SL after finally deciding on my templateat 4-0-0-0 and my only time of gaining SL was in our group hunts. It was slowish and would probably have taken me about a months time to finish it up. I appreciated that and it didnt bother me. Last night I finished up first part of my template by mastering in one hunt. Now as Im planning on keeping Master SL and have hopes of us becoming a very useful char in the future. However, I can totally understand how you feel and I would be unhappy too had I worked hard in the past to master SL. I just saw a window of opportunity to Master SL in a night and took it. I dont blame anyone for doing that but it is a bit sad.
oh i dont blame anyone who wants ot be respectable with it and all that.
but what i dont want to see is this XP to stay as it is and watch peopel who liek to dabble professions for PvP decide they should dabble SL so they cna make their PvP groups uber for combat.
master BH's HATE dabblers in their profession for obvious reasons. I guess thats what i dont liek about this XP situation if it continues.
