I was very disapointed whenI realized thatI could not show my faction title as my characters title. I very much wanted a military title.I also relized that Squad leader dont get real military titles either. Thats when i got this idea:

1. Let Squad leader purchase faction rankat a small discount (say 5% of at novice and and another 5% for each branch in the skill tree completed, giving a 25% discountat most. This discount is only for buying faction rank, not for any other perk). Squad Leaders are after all trained to be officers unlike the rest of the people who want faction ranks and should be able to get military rank quicker.


2. Lets Squad leaders get the ability to show their faction rank as their character title. They are after all professional military officers and should be able to show this.

There is a military sort of title in the tree. It's Mobility IV - Field Commander.

But you should only be able to display your faction title if you're Overt.

Agreed. I would rather enjoy the idea of running around with "General" in my name somewhere. hehehe. Might motivate more people to group with me. (not that the 3 storm troopers aren't motivation enough)

#1 won't happen because smuggler's have it already.

#2 is a possibility and something I wouldn't mind myself. I think personally, though, that we should have a big role in the faction all-together, not just a name thing.

Well, I can't fault those of you playing a faction, but I have no desire to play a faction right now. Its utter silliness. I played faction all through Beta and just can't stomach the people since release. I'm going factionless and having quite a grand time as an SL of high (and getting higher powered) hunting groups. I don't mind any changes to the class but don't want it to become overly faction-centric.

Well, the smugglers have a general discount on all faction abilities, this one would only be for the faction rank soI dont think the profession bonuses would be to alike, but I see your point. I would like to show rank somehow still. I hope it will be made possible somehow.

well actually they made it so it cant be posted so when a rebel sees an imperial for example and the imp has General over his name, they wont all go for him and get good FP.

Actually that would have little to do with it. I could be a General and have 200 FP. While my buddy the Corporal has 2000 FP. Just because you have the title doesn't mean that you would havethat many faction points but your right in the reguard that it would be a better indicator.
