I've focused on developing my pistol skills and have not worked on rifle or carbine. Should I be pushing one or the other of those as well? My goal is to help groups in PvP and PvE in combat.

Thanks,

I suggest just getting ranged support ( but master marksman IS really nice sometimes) with pistoleer.

Also, I'd suggest some unarmed through Teras kasi, picking up the balance skill tree there.

Why?

Because stances and grips in pistoleer, and balance tree in teras kasi, gives you +50 vs. knockdown.

And if an enemy BH sees you on a battlefield, he's gonna be killing you first...I would.

as I've said before... do NOT do Rifleman/SL... they both drain your mind pool a ton and that's not good.

I tend to agree with what Ordias said. Get Master Marksman for the mods, then choose pistoleer or carbineer.

Get RIfle Specialist and Carbine Specialist so you can get Master Marksman which gives you skill mods on all weapon types and ranged defense. Then go on to Rifleman, Pistoleer or Carbineer. You'll have enough skill points to master Marksman, Squad Leader, Pistoleer (or Rifleman, or Carbineer), with Exploration IV and Survival IV.
