Thread: PA leader=Squad Leader
Also it fits the role of a PA leader to focus on supporting his members then on being in the fray. Last point is that sadly only a PA leader can use a SL effectively since it is rare anyone else would get as many chances to lead large groups.
In TGi (The Galactic Irregulars) we have a councel of nine, but none of lthem are Squad Leaders, though one of the councelers still likes to lead hunts, and everyone takes their turn planning a hunt.
Basically, if the person who planned it doesn't want to, I take over the roll as leader. Regardless, I get the pink name so I can applly crappy stats.
Not being leader sucks because I can't use the only non-broken command, /sysgroup, without treading on other people's proverbial toes.
I became a Squad Leader because, yes, I though, in battle, it befit the role of Guildmaster...
Of course, now that I'm no longer in charge of DotA, I still am a SL... hm...
I became a SL when my roommate and I formed -LAN-. Im a SL because Im in charge of it.
I may drop it, though. I mean, its really great roleplaying, but the more I think about it, the less I like it. I love leading hunts and all, but I have 2 officers in my PA who like leading hunts just as much and have no SL skills whatsoever. And many people in my PA prefer to have THEM along, since they have Doctor and COmbat Medic skills, which actually do something.
I dunno. I really want to stick it out for the changes, but why wait 2 more months when I could build up a bank 900K of SL xp tonight in case this class is ever anything worthwhile?
In my opinion therefore PA leader=Squad Leader should be more the exception than the rule - just as in real life: statesman != military captain (usually at least)
