Squad Leader Archive

I'm new to the SL profession(thank you holocron ). I'm more of a solo kind of player, but if mastering this brings me closer to the jedi slot, then off i go.

I have a odd play time(on weekdays). I might be afk the computer for 10-15 mins every now and then, so most the time i have problems in hunting groups, much less being the leader.

I'm a master CH, so I can group with 3 pets. Do I get SL xp's from the damage they do? How about Faction Pets? Do the SL commands and bonuses effect CH and faction pets?

I just joined a PA, so on weekends I should be able to form big hunting parties no prob, but I'm trying to figure out whatmy best course of action is while soloing.

Lol, Soloing... did you not read the NAME of the profession... "Squad Leader" ... One who LEADS SQUADS. Not one who solos.... Surprise, surprise.

I can be in a group of 7 and be the only PC. so i would be leading a squad, but SOLO(only pc).

You do get XP when grouped with pets (faction or CH). But I think the amount of XP with 7 pets is less than what you get with 7 PC's.

The formula is based on something like (not exactly) (Total of all Combat XP earned in the group) * (Number of people in the group). So if you're the only PC, you're the only one earning combat XP.

Just go to Dantooine and join a group. Pull out the pets inside the group, and the XP gets pretty sweet.

When I can't find people to go adventuring with, I group with 3 faction pets, and a creature pet. I get around 500 xp per Imp Officer I kill. However, when I go to Tuskin and group with 10 PC's I get about 20k per tuskin Warlord we kill. Hope that helps.

No Seamus, you don't get xp from grouped pets anymore because some monkey asshat went out on his own and stealth borked our xp, and a month later they "fixed" us so that we get crap loads of xp but not from leading faction pets.

Now the idea is to find a nice big group on Dantooine or Yavin, put someone on follow and go watch Return of the Jedi. Set up a macro to say, "Crap, that was close" every5 minutes and you should be good.

well, I get about 800-1000 xp's per ST doing rebel missions. I didn't think that was to bad. Then I hooked up with my PA on Dath. WOW. I hit the 50k cap in no time. I was getting 15-20k xp's per kill. and I was upset when the holocron said SL. This is gonna be easy!
