Thread: Squad Leader Specials... For other people.
This idea was posted a while back, not sure who, but I loved it, and thought I would just repost it with a little bit of my own odd thoughts with it....
A Squad Leader brings out the best in his squad... So why not as the Squad Leader grows in abilities *climbs trees* he gets access.... Or Rather, His Squad gets access to Specials only usable in a Squad Leaders group....
Example: Dig In! Lowers posture and increases Deffense and Accuracy mods for as long as player is not moving or in standing position.... Two Dig In's make you prone and double the effect.
Dig in could also be useful if we get Fortifications... Fortifications and the Dig In command stacking together.... Hmmm, Useful Proffesion anyone?
Another Example would be, Step Lively... a 25% Increase to Run Speed for half the time of a burst run, USABLE AT ANY TIME, NO TIMER ON IT!!! Costs a little ham... and the SL can invoke it on his whole group at his leisure... But, individuals can Invoke it on their own! cool yes?!
And the best Idea I think... Covering Fire, click on squadmate, Select Covering fire, you fire at all those attacking your Squadmate... And you become their Target instead.... Imagine the possibilities,ease the burdenof a Squadmate who is getting hammered...
Dig in and then use covering fire on a Squadmate who's taking heat... It would be nice
You could think of your own easily... But I like this idea....
This would have enormous implications on the usefulness of the SL.
Covering fire sounds an awful lot like /assist which I use very often.......
