Just the other day...
I sat at the Dantooine mining outpost, chatted with some guys I happen to recognize as former guildmates from UO, when I get a tell 'Can you teach me SL skills?" .. as it does happen more often this days, I thought silently "Well, at least he doesnt say the usual thing, which would be "Can you teach me any 3 SL skills" " .. so I replied 'sure'
The next thing I see is a graul standing right in front of me, blocking any view and the '[name] has invited you to join a group' .. I just accept and prepare to type 'what skills do you want?' when suddenly a screen popped up '[name] has offered you to teach hunting I'
I hate that.
I disband the group and tell him that I dislike being offered to get something teached without being asked, but before I can say so that guy is spamming me 'Barrel TEACH ME SL PLZ!!'
I hate that, too
Its a sunny afternoon, my comrades start to laugh about what happens, when I tell them, and I decide that I just dont have to teach everyone, and I state that I do not intend to teach him, explaining for him the reasons.
Forty minutes of discussion with him, three of his PA-mates, lots of people standing by and adding to the discussion on several topics like 'you're a dumbass **edit**' via 'you are a bad SL' and 'its not my fault you have no friends'... with some short excursions to bribe, beg, belittle.. in the meantime a master musican started playing beside us, some BH and CH went into a discussion about ethics and broken skills..
That new SL went off..
... two minutes later ...
Someone tells me and ask if I could teach him survival I and I reply, 'sure' .. he gets up to me.. greets.. invites.. gets teached, thanks me, and we just start to chat.. he says something along the liens of 'I intend to become master SL too'.
That very moment nervy person A gets back, and asks that second guy "Can you teach SL skills?".. who himself replies "No, but Barrel can"
By large and far the greatest laugh I had that day.
I sat there nearly two hours, while the show went on, then I had to go :-)

LoL, good one. ![]()
All of the SL's I've met have been very respectfull, and I always try to be.
There was this insident in Coronet where i was trying to get trained, butI coudn't move, and it took three minutes (seriously) for my chat to appear after I typed it. Sooo much lag. That's it, no more coronet for me. ![]()
