I might say that the ignorance of others is the grace of our profession, but I am more optomistic than that.
I was "chillin" in my house on Corillia when I got a tell asking for my help in hunting Krayts. This was only because I'm an SL. Unfortunetly, because I had somethig come up in RL, I couldn't join him.
Just more good news from the front lines; apparently some people value our profession. ![]()
Made my day. ![]()
P.S.
Getting a tell asking if I was "the famed Squad Leader Kor obb" only helped my mood/ego. ![]()

A squad leader is a TKAS best friend. Cause a TKA will meditate and the SL will keep on spreading the wounds. Perfect for huntin, and when you are not able to heal your mind wounds.

I'm master medic, and going up SL, the two professions seem to be working out pretty well. It's very enjoyable, and I'd recommend it as a great supplemental set of skills. Wish I had either group heal, ranged heal, or resurrect as well, but I know I don't have enough pool points. And of course I know no one's expecting me to do everything, so I think what I have right now, I can definitely live with.
Anyway the real point is that I was in Fort Tusken just last night, and I think I was doing a pretty good job, running in and healing, and of course using the 1 or 2 skills I actually do have in SL already. But I'd still actually fall sometimes, like when the surface would respawn, and I would try to run in and get blown away. The really cool thing, is that when it happened, 2 or 3 of my team would run *back* upstairs, and drag me as far as they could (think it's bugged, dragging out of a room), and then stay there and guard my body until I woke up again. I've never seen that much protection given to one player, and I think I felt that that was my thanks for doing a good job as SL. It actually happened about 3 times, so it wasn't a random thing.
There's a player city just outside Fort Tusken, where I cloned, so it would have taken literally 2 minutes to get back. The extra protection was unnecessary, but that was my cool experience of being appreciated as an SL.

I like the idea of master medic/master SL combo, but I couldn't stand to be so supportive. I sooooo need to be able to do things myself, specifically kill things. *cheers* tho
