1. Is there a way to short cut /Sysgroup so it works like Groupchat and /g?
2. What kind of stats should I migrate to? I am a Master Rifleman aswell and was noticing a huge blast to my action when using the SL commands.
3. Which os the SL abilties are worth it and which are not?
Thanks in advance for any help. This is a fun class and my group gets a laugh when I yell "Form-up Slimeballs!"

Hey you to?! lolwell, as far as i noticed, the most helpful commands are sysgroup and The one that get rids of dizzy and blind (forgets name). I like to have commands short keyed like during raids (Ex: THE BIO ENGINEERIS DONE!!). Its pretty helpful
But other wise, i think SL may need a little more attention from the devs.

Welcome to the ranks of SL. It can be the most reward profession, if you play it that way.
Answers:
1. You can type /sys for a sys message or create completely new macro. Check the FAQs and Good Macro posts at the top of the profession page. Personnally, I have /yy for yellow sys messages and /rr for red in addition to some premade ones.
2. I was a rifle/SL for a while and I found I needed to buff up my Mind. Rifle and SL abilities take Mind. That may be completely out the window come publish 8 when they redo the HAM system, but for right now I'd increase my Mind bar.
3. This is a hard answer. Alot of people have come up with unique ways to use some of these skills, but some are still nearly worthless. So IMHO:
a. Best abilities:
/sys: Coordination messages
/formup: cures dizzy, stun
/steadyaim: groups next shot won't miss, good for commandos with their high-miss rockets
b. Worst:
/volleyfire: everyone fires once at your target with a regular attack. More effective to /sys everyone the target and let they fire a special attack.
/boostmorale: divides up wounds amongst the group. Are some unique ways for a TKA and others to use this but it mostly pisses people off for giving them black bars for no reason.
/Rally:This really isn't a "worst" but no one has ever figured out what exactly this does but it supposedly gives some kind of buff.
Hope that information helps. Really the two I find I use the most are the /sys messages and the /formup. Everything else is just how I interact with my group and my own personality/leadership abilities.
Enjoy

I've been using steady aim and rally a lot, dunno what rally does. Volley fire is almost no good, and boost morale pisses people off. Retreat is kinda good, but most people don't realize I just gave em a burst run even when I spam it (lol some people never listen).I'd migrate to mind and action and get some varsarian brandy, best stuff in the game

I thought Rally increases all of your defences ? not sure though . I do know the damn command hinders everyone in the group from harvesting dead critters. . . .Sux if you're there for the harvest only . . . . .

form up is great, I found this especially useful in the geonosian caves where those critters like to kd/dizzy :/ man they suck so bad, but if you're a squad leader, i guarantee you that your group will love you for this one.

Ok, about your original post. You can set /sysgroup command to something else, anything you want, simply do this:
/alias rr /sys
Where the red is, put what you want the new command to be, where the green is, put what the old command was. so if i was to put /alias rr /sys and hit enter, for now on all i would have to do is type /rr then the message and this would generate the system message like usaul.
Also, if youd like colors init, this is another nifty thing you can do:
/aliasred /sys \#0000FF\
this would make it so that if i was to type /red Hey Guys, new bogie is %TT, it would show up as: Hey Guys, new bogie is (what ever you have targeted is %TT)
You can change the #0000FF to any color you want. You just have to find the hex color code (try here for a list of the codes)
