I have spent the last few days in the Dantooine mining outpost trying to level up, however I am having a very hard time trying to find someone who wants to group and actually hunt with me. There are a ton of players who join, grab high paying missions and then take off.

I'm thinking there might be a better place that either is too tough to solo, or easier, where a larger group of weaker players hang.

Short answer: Player Associations.

Long answer: I enjoy inviting new players on hunts on occasion. I ask them if they'd be interested in going group hunting, and I offer to pay them for resources they harvest. It's very rare that I'm turned down. They might not be the best fighters, but there isn't anything on Corellia that I can't handle myself, so no worries there. And they aren't always the brightest guys around, but I enjoy instructing people on how the game works and how they can better their characters and play style. So in the end, everyone is happy: I get a willing squad to hunt with, and they get credits, skills, and knowledge.

Like the guys above me said... buffs, armor, and high-end weapons unlock most of the content in the game for advanced players. So look to the new players .

Gather up newbies at the major cities or go to the Geno Cave or Ft Tusken. I have always found people willing to group up at those two dungeons. Tusken was easy in that you can just gather up anyone willing and then let them run around how where ever they want (ie. solo) in the Ft and you'll still be in range to get the SL XP.

I was there the other night.. Convinced about a dozen people I didn't know to group. Turned them loose to fight where ever they wanted and just collected XP like mad. The system messages were scrolling like crazy and I could just hang out and look at the clouds.

Disclaimer: This isn'thow I normally play...but I had one box left till master and just wanted the XP.
