Thread: Best way to get SL XP?

I was told that was the quickest way. There was a live event in Theed last night, asked the group leader if I could be leader (thanks) and I got 375K in 5 minutes. Then another 25K of the rebel admiral. Pretty nice, gonna try the TF myself today.

I havent seen any posts or guides on it at all. But for the most recent patches, what/where is the best way/place to get Leadership XP? I tried grouping with random people at the Tusken fort but it was still kinda slow.

If there isn'ta live event, I suggest going to fort tusken with a few friends. On Scylla people stay there all the time looking for loot. So getting 10+ people shouldn't be a problem. Sit at the front gate for 4 hours with little trips to a SL trainer...voila master SL. Sad but true that you can master the profession in one afternoon. The hardest part of the SL progression is the survival XP as a pre-req.

I managed to get half of SL in an hour by creating a huge group at the Geo Caves and letting them go at it.

Size of group, number of mobs, and difficulty of mobs are the keys. A group of 20 cutting into the Genosian Caves or Fort Tusken will easily get you 900k exp in about an hour.

Try going to the Aurillian Village sometime, and ask to be made leader of a group. Wait around for one of those Sith Pirate attacks, and just watch the peoples fall and your exp rise!

I did that last night (second time going through SL) and it was a great time for me to rework and test my macros and gain exp. I gained 500k in a couple hours. Not the fastest I've ever gained in, but if you duck into one of those huts, you're safe and you can cast system messages around, and FormUp freely.

I'm not sure how many people are still going to Aurelia to defend the village, but I was there the other night and led a squad of twenty. I started the battle out with about 450k SL exp and I was gaining XP very rapidly, even considering that the Outlaws, Pirates, and Thugs don't really give that much weapon/combat XP. Whenever I capped, I ran to Paemos (while dodging fire!) and cashed in about 450k. I did that about 3 times, then still left with 900k xp on me. That was over 2 waves. I know there are faster ways, but the other method I use is just leading a solo group on Dant. I'm also working on my Rilfe skills, so for every kill I get I recieve up to 12k Squad Leader XP. Takes a while longer, but I'm killing 2 birds with one stone. Hope that helps.

my guild leader made his in 1 day by being the leader of a guildhunt on Dath killing rancs, he spent more time going to get trained in travel time than I think he spent at the hunt.

Definetelty Dath is a good one, I went there the other day with just two others in my group and we did rancor missions and within 20 -30 minutes capped out with only 20k when I started. With two people they were giving 13k per pop. Plus you get the credits from the missions. Just make sure to pick the missions real close to each other in the same direction. The other way I found pretty useful but took a little more time was to find a spawnspot in mos eisley and start the group or ask to become leader with 10-15 people and then just make sure you loot real fast, that was about all I did was loot and they were killing the swoop leaders as fast as they were popping up, they only give 300 or 500 xp but you can kill so many so fast it adds up. I capped that out in about 40 minutes to an hour.

Group size is the biggest contributing factor in gaining SL exp. Doesn't matter if you're hunting ravenous tortons, rancors, huurtons, Sith Outlaws, or whatever.... 20 people in a group makes for PHAT SL exp!

EDIT: It's sad when the best part of our prof is how fast we can grind it out, eh?
