Squad Leader Archive

Once upon a time many career options ago I was a Squad Leader. It was about the time that changes to experience earnings happened that I decided to turn away from it as it really was a bit... borked (Left the profession about the time people starting being able to Master Squad Leader in a day with a large group). In time I went all combat then drifted entirely away from combat focusing on politics, space an commerce. Now with my politicianpoints lifted I ponder how to reinvest them in a meaningful way.

On the surface it stands to reason that if grouping becomes a viable option in the ground game that will be one step towards making the Squad Leader something with more purpose. The question about whether other enhancements will come to the profession which would make it a valued addition to a group is what I ponder. Not whether it is a required thing or "I win" option, but whether it is viable.

From an RP perspective I AM a Squad Leader. I am the CO of a moderate sized PA, the Mayor of a City and a strategic planner and have always gravitated towards support roles. Ultimately I would be a Master Politician, Master Squad Leader, Master Shipwright, Master Alliance Pilot.

You guys have been living and breathing this profession through some very difficult times and I commend and respect this determination. I was wondering what your thoughts were about the future of the profession and if good changes come to it when you think it might happen.
