How far away can you be before the bonuses stop taking affect? Like for the group melee/ranged burst and negotiation.

Today I did a test to see if form up was planet wide. With my squad leader in mining outpost and my jedi in Agro it did NOT cure the jedi's stun. As such I'm now dubious about the defense bonses, has anyone tested them in any way?

The defense bonuses I notice because I'm a MSL/MBH I notice have no defenses unless I'm grouped.

welll.....
I have noticed that there are two serperate ranges.
One is the burst run/form up range which tends to be MUCH more limited then the group bonuses. I believe the group bonuses to defense are galaxy wide. while the retreat/form up range is more limited to a certain area. Think shouting distance so they can hear your words of encouragement.

good idea to test it, but you chose the wrong chars methinks, at leastthe sl i am roaming can not clear any states at all off my jedi even when standing next to me and even if i consent him ( for what it's worth..)

I have tried some different ranges for retreat and formup. Nothing extensive though.
It is not a specific distance. It is only on same planet. It is not all over planet, where I have tried.
It seems to be limited by some invisible boundaries on the planets.
If the SL is at Science outpost on Dathomir he also covers the area around Nightsister Stronghold. This is obviously a lot longer than shout distance. I don't know exactly how far apart they are, somewhere in the range of 3km-5km. If the groupee move towards the Imperial prison, it stops working.
If the SL moves to outside Nightsister Stronghold, he still seem to cover the exact same area as when he was in Science outpost.
So, planets are divided in areas, I guess the different areas are managed by different servers. It's within these boundarise that the retreat and formup commands works.
With this info, I assume that if you as SL are doing a mission with group that is on such a server boundary, people who are fighting on your side of the boundary would get bonuses, whiel people 50m away on other side of boundary may not get it.
It could possibly be that it is ALSO considering shout-distance, so that anyone within either shout-distance or within same server boundaries get the bonus.
If anyone know of any sort of map with the server boundaries, or whatever invisible boundaries there may be on planets, it would be interresting to have a look at it and see if my theory can be proven. It would be useful information.

I'm 100% sure retreat works for Jedi. And 99% sure formup does too.
