Thread: Some questions, cuz I'm lazy.
Ok, I'm making my guy the SL, and was curious about some things:
- Does Volleyfire change the target of anyone, or just people using ranged weapons?
- Do Squad Leaders get their own bonuses, as long as they are grouped?
- What Squad Leader SEA's help, if I'm a Master Squad Leader?
- How long does retreat last? How long before I can use it again?
- What abilities work while out of range? What about while off-planet?
- I read somewhere that Grp Ranged + Melee defenses don't actually add the the "Melee Defense" or "Ranged Defense" skills, is this correct? Are they their own seperate deal?
- What exactly does Ralley prevent?
Sorry for all the noob questions, that I'm sure are answered. I just wanted the most current, up to date info.

if you are in range you will attack with a default attack
- Do Squad Leaders get their own bonuses, as long as they are grouped?
yes in almost all cases - excepting burst run and the ability to clear dizzy (faq)

most definitely

20-30 secs depending on lag. No delay between specials (
- What abilities work while out of range? What about while off-planet?
random it appears - some work universe wide, some planet, some general area only (basic forum search picks this up)
- I read somewhere that Grp Ranged + Melee defenses don't actually add the the "Melee Defense" or "Ranged Defense" skills, is this correct? Are they their own seperate deal?
It is listed a group ranged defense and group melee defense (in a stickie at the top)
- What exactly does Ralley prevent?
rally prevents nothing. It give a bonus to hit and possibly a bonus to damage (this is in the faq)

- Attachments: What SL attachments exist? Group terrain negotiation effects only crawl speed after 50. Are there Grp Ranged + Melee defense SEA's?
- Form Up: You say this will not heal the SL's Dizzy? What about other states?

Question doesn't make sense, if you are out of range why would it work? Perhaps you are asking for range of abilities?

Per FAQ and many forum messages, it prevents anything you can't do in combat. If you need clarification on if you can do something, get into combat and try to do it. If you can't do it, you can't do it under Rally. Harvesting, Rezzing, and sitting come to mind. Crafting and performing I think are on there too.

Not sure. I've seen volley fire, steady aim, g.terrain neg. Don't know if there are g. defense tapes.
- Form Up: You say this will not heal the SL's Dizzy? What about other states?
Form-up clears dizzy and stun. It will not clear the SL's dizzy because you can not use the ability while dizzy. Dizzy = SL kryptonite, dizzy SL = dead SL. Dizzy prevents quite a few of our abilities. Being not-standing prevents alot of abilities too.
