I've been browsing this forum before I have to run off to work today, and I am looking for some much needed advice. I'm currently working on smuggler, but thinking about dropping this prof and taking up SL. Here's a little info about me that may help with the advice.

I am a group person. I enjoybeing with others in the game, and I am in a PA that does hunt together. I realize that many of the abilities of the SL really focus on being in a group and being the leader of that group.

So please, if you have any advice as to what I should or shouldn't take in regards to this profession or its trees, I would really appreciate the help. In specific, I'm wondering which of the SL abilities are really worthwhile to have and which ones are best to be avoided right now. And I do have a question...if a SL isn't in a group, does their group terrain negotiation and group melee defense still give them benefits if they are soloing?

Thank you in advance for any constructive advice you can give me. It's really hard trying to make a decision on what to do right now, and SL is a profession I've wanted to try since Beta. Again, I'm sorry if I could find these answers in other posts. They are so scattered sometimes, it's really hard for me to get a clear idea. Thank you for your time and comments!

No, u have to be in group and u have to be the groupleader

Smuggler is currently 100 times better. Acutally just the spice tree is 100 times better. Now that I think of it, novice smuggler, where you can make spice is better. You could hand spice out to the group, that's more than I can do for them.
