Squad Leader Archive

I'm slowly working my way up to joining the ranks of Squad Leader, and I was wondering if being a group leader now (as a Scout) will bank some XP for me later, or if I'll just start from scratch no matter what.

You'll have to start from scratch. You only receive SL xp when you're a novice and above in the profession.

On another note you may want to reconsider your choice of squad leader lol....
