Thread: WHERE'S THE RESPONSE TO OUR ISSUES!!!?
I think it was Holo (might have been Q, my memory fails me) that posted this morning saying that the person responsible for making the updates is out of the office today but he would try to post another chunk of responses by the end of the day.
I am not surprised they have not given us any feedback yet. This whole correspondent thing could have beengood, but so far it has turned into a somewhat seriousPR disaster.
SOE: Hey everyone, tell us what you don't like about the game so we can make it better!
PLAYERS: Great idea SOE. We think you are brilliant! We don't like this, and that, and this thing over here doesn't workand neither does that thing over there.Fix it please!
PLAYERS: How come we are not getting any responsefrom the developers. All is quit on all fronts. Is everyone on summer vacation?
PLAYERS: Hey, we got problems, help us! When I log on, all I think of is all of these problems we have! You said you would fix them. Where did everyone go?
3 WEEKS LATER...
PLAYERS: Fine, don't talk to us. Don't help us. I am going to unsubscribe and I want my money back...
SOE: Hey, take easy. We need your subscriptions to pay our bills, I mean cough.. cough.., we care! cough.. cough... Want feedback? We will give you feedback...
SOE: Problem 1, working as intended. Problem 2, We'll look into it. Problem 3, We couldn't do it in beta and we certainlycan't do it now. Problem 4, ummm its fixed, cough.. cough.. Problem 5, Can you repeat the question please?
PLAYERS: SOE, not sure if you realize this but your average player base is late 20's andwell educated. This is not the first time many of ushave been politely blown off in the past so don't bother even trying... Please get your act together or we will take our business somewhere else!
I would not be surprised if someone doesn't get fired over this, or if there is some kind of reorganization. I hope its the later as they don't have time to recreate a whole team from scratch. They have 6 months to get this game working, IMO if they want to be a long term major player in this space. Instead of going gang busters, it looks like everyone is still hung over from the launch party.
A reorginization near the top would be a good reason to delay giving usfeedback. Someone in that organization needs to take the bull by the horns, determine what niche they want to dominatewithin the MMORG market, set intelligent priorities and kick a little tail or this game could be in trouble. Once that person emerges, then we should start seeing the game develop in some foreseeable direction.

Arethe combat designers'responsible for Squad Leader also?
They said that they have a separate meeting for hybrid professions. I believe we count as a hybrid profession since we have both combat and scout prereqs.
