Ok, so we all know that Squad Leader is, by numbers, one of the weakest classes in the game, if not the weakest. We know that the only Dev attention we get is to fix their recent screw ups. We know that we won’t get any attention until Player Cities and Mounts are functioning and balanced, because everybody uses those and nobody uses Squad Leaders, and the same Devs are assigned to both tasks.

BUT that doesn’t mean a Master Squad Leader can’t have a little fun!

Here are some of my favorite activities, and I’m not even a full master yet! Try them and enjoy!

FUN THINGS TO DO AS A MASTER SQUAD LEADER:

- Sneak a peek! Group with your pet, go prone, and crawl faster than you ever have before. Use it to dart under ladies wearing skirts, then crawl away giggling.

- Get some dancers in trouble! Pick up novice entertainer. Go overt. Invite all the entertainers in a cantina to join your band. Wait for a powerful overt BH, Commando, etc. to attack you. Use volley fire. Watch them dancers fry.

- Spread the pain! Have your CM buddy disease all your pools. Go the med center to pretend to get heals. Invite everyone to your group. Boostmorale. When they get angry, get defensive and say “Well, MY morale’s been boosted!”

- Have fun! Organize a “Lightning Raid” on an large opposing city (Theed, Moena, etc.)– a sweep of opponents from one shuttle port to another. Buy your exiting ticket in advance. As you approach the shuttle port to exit the city, your opponents frothing at your heels, use /rally just before your group reaches the travel terminal. So long, suckers!

- Let it go! /sysgroup farting noises. Excuse yourself.

- Fool your friends! Use /setretreat to make your character shout “Sniper attack! Sniper!” when you use the /retreat ability. Wait until you’re PVPing with some friends, and in a tense moment use your new ability. Watch them scatter as your mind pool drops like a stone.

- Joke's on her! Engage someone in a personal conversation via /tell, then /sysgroup her replies to your friends in hot pink!

- Trick those newbies! Have a newbie look in the skill tree and show him that you give +30 bonuses to defense. Convince him that it makes a difference. See if you can trick him into fighting a fambaa, razor cat, etc.

- No hides for you! Keep using /rally until all of your kills decompose. Don’t let your scouts harvest any resources.

- I can speed you up, for a price! When you’re 3-4 km from a shuttleport and in the middle of some mountainous terrain, kick the richest member of your group.

- Tell me how it turns out! Macro /volleyfire;/peace. Use the macro when your group is trying to pull a bull rancor. Burstrun in the opposite direction.

See? Squad Leader isn’t all bad. If you’re optimistic, creative, and malicious, you can have lots of fun!

This one is my favorite now. Someone mentioned here that they used the /sysgroup command to display on everyones screen a message of getting a jedi slot. I tried it last night. I was in a group of 6 people and we were doing missions on Endor. I typed /sys Congradulations! You have just opened your Force Sensitive Character Slot. Procede to the character creations menu to start your life as a Jedi.

I didn't enter it right away. I waited until when we completed the mission and the experience and money messages popped up so that it looked official and at a glance they would not see my name at the beginning of the message. Couple of people freaked out, few more said WFF? then started laughing. One person had no clue and said something along the lines of "I got some sorta Jedi message".

I plan on doin this much more often with new groups. I never laughed so hard.

These are some of the funniest activities i've seen for our poor broken class.....I would've never thought that SL's could double as entertainers (although, we would be the ones getting the entertainment). Nice post, laughed my ass off......keep it up, i'll be looking for more activities to participate in in the future.

Oh, have a question though, how can you /sysgroup a message in a different color other than the default white (if it's possible)?

p.s. Lightning raid is my favorite out of these...

Being a Squad Leader is a wholly altruistic task, especially when everyone wants to solo. So tell me what is the point?
