Thread: /Rally
Ok, I was testing /rally in a group last night and found a few things that you all should be aware of.
1) a. a. if you are not actually in combat and you /rally. It has a much higher chance of succeeding.
b. if you are in combat and you /peace before you /rally. It has a much higher chance of Succeeding.
c. in combat when you /rally it has a failure rate of around 80%
Seeing as this is a combat skill, this seems a bit bugged but hey, there's your work around.
2) a. no one can harvest or sample when Rallied
b. a medic could not /dragincapaciatedplayer when rallied
c. When rallied you can't open a ticket, sit down, or burst run.
This is unchanged and normal for us...sadly. I'm not going to complain, at least its working again. I truely thank Thuderheart (and anyone else involved, most notably anyone who helped keep the SWG SL thread on the first page for 2 weeks) for helping us get attention called to this so we could /rally our troops once again.
I did ask my group if they saw any noticable difference when they were rallied and they all said that they did notice a difference. It was a fairly mixed group, me SL/Carb/CH, TKA/CH, Smug/CH, and Pis/CH. I also noticed the pets did all get rallied (which is exactly how it should be if they are in the group) but I couldn't tell you the exact benefits because I don't have time right now to hunt through a logfile.
Does anyone know exactly what /rally does (the equasion I mean, I know it adds to the defence and to hit modifiers). I'd like to see some numbers in case I do decide to hunt through my log to compare.
Well now you can not Rez people while you /Rally. I had a Nov Doc in a group I was leading last night the was pissed about it.
I do have to say I like being a SL and I am getting to be known on my server as a good SL. Other PA are requesting me to take them out like a guild for guild hunts. I think that is really cool.
The fact that Doc's cannot resurrect while rallied is INSANELY STUPID!!!! As SL you're supposed to be HELPING the group survive, not just taking all their abilities away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SL needs a serious overhaul.
I added the not able to res thing to my bug list on rally. Let me know anything else you guys come up with.
I would also really love to get a the real equasion of what /rally does. If anyone can help me out I'd appreciate it very much.
Not being able to harvest, sit, or write up a ticket isn't that crucial. Let the person just wait it out. But not being able to /drag or /res is crucial and should be fixed. I don't even use this command in hunts because of this.
FYI, I tested /Rally extensivly this weekend. I was definitly correct that when not in combat you have a 75% rate of Success pulling rally off. When you are in combat its around 75% failure rate.
This has to be a bug but at least its working and we have a work around.
