Lately it seems I've been having an inordinate amount of difficulty in trying to get groups together to get SL exp... I've stood in front of cantinas, starports and medcents forever at various times and never seem to get anyone interested. I've put up posts advertising mission/hunting parties with no luck... Has anyone else been having this problem? Seems everyone wants to go solo nowadays.... Is the game that far along, that practically everyone in a combat profession can go solo?? I'm never gonna master this damn profession....

Sadly, it seems like it's getting harder to find groupsfor the sake of experience. The big trend nowadays is something called "solo grouping" where people only group to take advantage of the harder missions (which bring in more money), which afterward everyone goes and does their own missions separately. The problem with this is that the only way for a SL to get exp is if he/she is near the groupmates, and obviously the SL can't do missions on his/her own
.
As a suggestion, you should try to go to Fort Tusken in Tatooine. If you're persistent, you might find a group there and all you'll need to do after that is survive

I constantly hover around Fort Tusken... All I find are ppl solo'ing, or one or two person groups who refuse my SL services... A good suggestion though.
And I detest solo grouping... It so undercuts the whole point of group combat in SWG, and its sense of community, few of the good points in the game... Devs need to input something whereas if Group Member A gets too far from Group Leader (say 500 meters) for too long (30 secs or a minutes) they are automatically booted from the group...

1) Mos Eisly, noobs love to group. I made master doc in about two weeks (just now)no tumbling involved at allI just formed hunting groups in eisley and heald them all.
2) Squill cave, just invite everyone. there is no loot there so no one will be worried that you will try to steal it
3) Geonosian cave, melee characters and now Jedi love to group and grind xp, however there is great loot there so your group will have to trust you.
4) Fort Tuscan, same as geono (except no jedi)
5) Group with me
any Squad Leaders on Naritus or Chimera, I think group hunts are one of the best features in swg

aye, now that players are buffed and have some 90% comp and several billion in the bank everyone is Solo. What ever happened to the Massivly Multiplayer part of this game? The only time I do get regular groups for is PvP.

I think I drop out of master squad leader. Returned after 3 months to see what has changed and if the revamp has hit. But no revamp, so far no problem just enjoy playing as squad leader and leading hunting groups. Next thing I see is a full spamm of looking for solo group. I think 'what the heck?' But perhaps it are just a few and start yelling: 'squad leader offering his services for groups'. Bingo got a tell with an invite from a few people. So I invited them happy to found a group. What happens in the next seconds? You guessed it, they went all different ways. So I disbanded the group with the last words: 'I didn't create a group just for solo and your own riches'. Oh man what a tells I got (happy of the ignore
)
But all these event are bringing me to the conclusion to drop out of squad leader, it was a hell to find a good group beforeI cancelled, but now it is worse.

The part about you having to be close to your group is not true. I was on dant and formed 3 solo groups (took me 3 days to master SL keeping it for fun) at different times, full 20 each time. Then I went out and leveled swordsman. Each time I killed a voritor hunter and similarly difficult mobs I got 10k-15k squad leader xp and all my group members were about 11 km away. Very easy to level this way.

Swordsman can solo uber creatures with little to no difficulty, Rifleman, doctors and about everyone else can't. I can't group with my pet, or someone else and have them stay put and then go out into the bush and kill some uber creature for SL exp. Gotta have a group. Think of how much exp you didn't get with the rest of your groupmates being 11 km away.

My vote's for the squill caves. Lots of people hang out there, and most appreciate the SL skills. Also, there aren't any nuts on loot quests, which makes trust easier. I ran into maybe one person who insisted he wouldn't associate with kill-stealers in any group, he preferred solo. Anyway, I got 4444 SL in 2 days at the caves. Still looking for the AP points to get master.

I got it mainly through leading Naff hunts out of Coronet - a lot of relative newbs love to get out on Naff missions. Once got flamed by a guy because I wouldn't let him join to solo
I never buff so I like group missions anyway. I enforced strict rules on my hunts, e.g. anyone with Medic skills helps healing and I'll boot anyone that I see healing themselves but not other ppl. Have been told "but I don't need med XP", well neither do I but I still help out! People seemed to like this and I constantly got tells from people that had been on my hunts asking when I was doing more as other people's were a mess - made me feel all warm inside
Hardest thing is stopping them hitting the damn nests, lol!

Without a doubt.
I've tried leading stuff out of Coronet, but there are just too many ppl out in front of the starport, slows evything down. Lately I've been trying to lead noob groups out of Mos Eisley.. Haven't had much success.. That any my Spanish is rusty..
