I have some few Misc. SL questions, and I might have a few more a little bit later, but thank you for any help that you can give me =)
1) If you do Volley Fire as the Leader of a group who (for the most part) is not engaged in combat, after they fire, will they continue to engage that target?
2) Volley Fire does not switch their targets, correct?
3) Is Volley Fire effective? I know it doesn't do any specials, but is it useful much at all, as it is now? I'm thinking for finishing off a person....
4) What is the effect of Volley Fire on Brawlers? On Docs?
PS: If you happen to be a MSL on Starsider, and what to come on a DWB raid, shoot me game-mail!

Most of your questions can be answered thus: VolleyFire causes all group members who are currently in combat and have a ranged weapon equipped to fire once at your selected target. The volley does not count as an attack for your members nor does it interrupt their combat queue in any way.
Specific answers:
1. No, because VolleyFire won't affect them in the first place.
2. Correct.
3. No, not really. You can probably do more damage yourself using an advanced attack.
4. See above. If they don't have a ranged weapon equipped, no effect.

You'll likely find it most useful if you've got a well-prepared group for it. If you get a 20-person group with dot weapons that all stack (or as much as is possible), you could try to use it to make sure everyone hits every target at least once to stack the dots on them without really interfering with the rest of the group's combat.

Thanks guys, answered my questions succintly.
Here's a new one for you then: If it doesn't count as an attack, whats stopping the SL fro spamming it repeatedly. Wouldn't doing that mean it would get quite a bit of Damage Racked up?

Well you HAM costs for one might pose a problem, and if I'm not mistakenyou are inserting a shot into your teams combat queues. So lets say you spam volley fire you could prevent them from attacking teh guy who is right up on them. Also even at master voleyfire doesn't always work.

VolleyFire counts as an attack for the SL, and it isn't a very fast one at that. You can probably get off 3 of 4 Strafing/Crippling shots per VolleyFire... I'd take the damage of those individual shots over a VolleyFire.
As for using VF to trigger Dot weapons... well, I dunno. I think I trust my group more to hit a few opening volleys of Strafing Shot, Burst Shot 2, etc. to trigger dots over large groups. It's much easier and less work than a Squad Leader picking out targets individually, making sure he hasn't fired at them already, and ordering a Volley Fire. Just my opinion.
