Got a question on squad leaders, the group xxxxxx bonus (e.g. group terain navigation) does that effect the sl as well and does it only work if in a group (even if only with a pet), or does is also count if soloing?
Pardon the newb question but I cant find anyone on valc atm who has ever been a SL post cu.

The passive modifications will apply to yourself if and only if you are grouped.

You can group with a pet / droid to accomplish this, yes.

But don't get too attached, since they're going the way of the dinosaur in a few days. ;-)

The revamp is comming...

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather...
to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming: "WOW - What a ride!"

Read all the posts around this one to find the answer.

The SL revamp is on Test Center right now, it has been for a week now. The majority of the posts on the front page are in reference to this revamp.

If it helps clarify, Group Terrain Negotiation (GTN) goes away with the revamp.

There is now Group Burst Run Efficiency in the mobility tree. Also, a special ability in the 2nd tier there (iirc) that provides a function similar to GTN. I've not seen it in action though, so to cover my arse, I'll stress the word 'similar'.

Burst Run efficiency has always been there, it was not added. This makes no sense, if we are to loose all of our passive skills why keep the one skill that has almost no use anyway?
