They probably changed the group sizebecasue they can only fit an 8 person group list on the screen. Those new icons take up too much screen space. I personally think that is the true reason why it's limited to 8..

even managing 8 people can be tricky if your not doing it right. I experienced with 6 and two of my mates went Psychco and started AOE. have to admit, didn't think the jedi could run that fast. useualy I've been getting 1 in the group that just wants to do his or her own thing. Don't get me wrong I like some challange in a game, but one some of your memebers spend more time on their backs or traveling from the the cloner, there's issue..
if your working with a group you know of, and the people you've grouped with are friends and know what they are doing, it's not ... tooo, bad, but get's tricky when you don't know the peeps.

Sometimes when things are going too smoothly, meaning everything is dropping really quick and there's no challenge, I'll start running fanshot on the lairtomake it more interesting.. Glad I always have a Doc nearby for those times..

Yepp I know
and it are mostly the jedi players who are hard to control.
They learn during their padawan time to be independent and after that are hard to integrate into group tactics again, since they are just used to do everything on their own.
Never the less just like Mavhawk posted, when I see that among my close group/guildies everything is going to smooth, I just start spamming either fullautoareak (if Im nice since that shot does do a lot of damage) or (if Im not nice) suppressionfire since it has a 120° cone, just to see if my group keeps together and watches out for each other.
Still, this only happens if I play with ppl I see on a regular basis. With the galaxy wide alliance on ahazi, I do have a lot of ppl who doesnt know "my" play style, aka the grouptactics I try to enforce and promote to increase the effectiveness of the ppl in my group, so I do have a lot to do in 8pp groups too.
