Squad Leader Archive

As of 3:30am PST I am now a Squad Leader. Now I can work on the class I have wanted. I know it dont work well but I have been studing the boards and taking notes I hope I can do a good job for my PA.

Well I get learned now while their are few of us. I will be really cool when the fix comes out.

Welcome, now keep in mind that the SL profession is completely about what you put into it right now. The skills and bonuses aren't that great, but by skillfull use of the /sys command (checkout the tips and macros posts), you can have alot of fun as an SL.

If you are looking to level fast in SL, then you may have a problem. I my experience, the best and most enjoyable/efficient way to play SL does not produce a great deal of XP. Your SL XP is gained by an equation that includes how much damage you do personnally. If you are being a good SL and keeping "the big picture" you may not ever shoot at an enemy yourself, so that is a bit of a contradiction.

My biggest piece of advice to make yourself usefull to a group and have fun, is to keep your group informed as to what your intentions are and use /sys often to control that group.

I both directed my group and blew big holes in our enemies. I was the primary damage dealer. I say was because I mastered a while ago (pistoleer and SL) so I don't have much to do anymore these days but run my PA.

Squads respect a Squad Leader who kicks much ass too.

I too have been studying these boards and threads, I made master SL a while back and i feel rather fast. best thing to do is get a good group of people and hunt with them and them only continuosly. I was averaging 330k - 880k leadership XP on Lok a night. Its all in how you work with your group. I also hope that they truly consider all the ideas that have come from this forum. I do not want to be a "PC handler" squad leader.

Being with the same group of people allows you to get to know the way they play and them to know the way you play. It was a very good method for me and we eventually went on to establish our own PA.

Well I hope to do well for my own PA I have some very strong members and leaders in our PA. I am just a part the of the whole thing. It was just one thing our PA didn't have and that I could be a big help to them buy doing so.

It is all about team.
