At some point i see what you mean ..

A squad leader does do a difference in the group , trust me i know i do !

/sysg does help the group alot more , since everyone get it popped up on their screen ...

But i do agree with you , on some other stuff - we need more commands better skills to help out our squads ....

Oh and a little tip , get an Endor group going kill the Merek Assasins - they give me 18k SL xp per kill ........

I apologize for my initial rant last night. I should have talked about this in a more sophisticated manner. I became very frustrated with the profession lastnight and I guess I hit my breaking point. I am usually more calm and focused when it comes to such things.

Yes I did find /sysg to be useful. But if you are with a group of your good friends, or people you are familiar with in your guild, it is not necessary. My group and I know eachothers combat style, and playing style enough that we don't even need to speak while in combat. if someone needs to be warned of something. /gsay works just aswell. we all pay attention to the group chat while fighting and keep our combat chat in a sperate window to keep it from spamming peoples messages away. I really don't find much use for the Squad Leader when it takes 5 times for my rally to work (seriously it happened last night) and then mymind is so drained I am killed in one shot.

I would much rather give up the Survival I need to get this and put the skill points (4 scout 2 SL) onto much more useful skills. Everyone and everypne'smother that I play with are scouts. One of my best friends in the game is a ranger. No need for camping with him around. All I'm really saying is there's no need for Squad Leader in it's current state. Time could bemore well spent, and skill points would be more valuable elsewhere.

I am quiting this profession as of now. No offense to designers or the developers who made it, but really, there must have been absolutly no thought put into this profession at all. It sounds cool in the manual and players guide, but most of the stuff stated isn't even included. what a huge over-sight.

"The Squad Leader cab turn a motley crew of amatuers into a serious fighting force"

Really? Does this happen withno tangible starting abilities or bonuses? Or does it happen when rally fails 4 out of 5 times?

"a group always functions better with a Suad Leader running it"

Does this happen at Master? I haven't seen this yet, I'll have to look around. Oh, wait, there's barely any Squad Leaders left to ask because the profession is BS. Pardon my ignorance.

"take command of a fire fight and turn the tide of a battle"

I guess this might happen with volley fire. But i haven't gotten it yet because it takes forever to move up a tree. 175k for the first block of each tree. 175k before we even get a single "useful" skill that fails continuosly. (Also see my comment about rally.)

"they help everyone in the group rather than an individual"

Then what common sense was used to decide how XP was gained. This is ludicrous. I get XP for the damage and attacking that I do. I get no Xp in regards to what the actual squad does. And here I thought I was a Squad Leader. Boy I must have my head on backwards.

Hell, I'm not gonna even bother quoting the book anymore cause it just continues in ramblings pertaining to skills that do not work and how well the group functions when the best way for the "leader" to get XP is to solo the enemy while the rest if the group picks daisies.

This profession is absolutly useless and horribly thought out. It'd be nice if things could get added and xp could be determined in a different way. But, oh thats right, the devs don't even read reports that come from our "designated corespondant". Why the hell was he appointed then, eh? This profession onlycreates wasted time and frustration for very mislead players. I'm glad I'm paying $15 a month to work diligently towards a profession, only to find out it is of absolutly no value to me, or anybody, when I get there. Pleasant.

Maybe I'll go get commando. Since the dev's "fixed" it, I'll be able to go blow off other players heads for 1000s of damage while they whine about unfairty (probably not a word, but, eh...)I'll help to balance out the uber strong and way too popular Bounty Hunters. This game just bathes in balance, no?
