Just thought that I would let all of you know I got SL a few days ago and am enjoying a ton! So yes, people are still acquiring the profession. Although, what branch should I go up? I'm on starsider!

Just ignore the others, Mav.

Squad Leaders are special, but it's more than the "owning" abilities or passives that make a good one. It's all about you.

Yes yes, ignore the haters, player.

If I were you I would go for Mobility I first, and then some of the defense stuff, as it seems to be working now. Also, Steady Aim is not to be ignored if you have commandos regularly grouping with you. Rally is also very useful when applied correctly.

And if you haven't started yet, start cranking up your brain stats.

My goodness...you could call this the self-deluded profession. Look, being SL can be fun...but some people out there need to get an intervention. The profession sucks, you can lead just as well without it. Why am I hammering it? Because I WANT the profession to be better than it is! This is a game that comes down to numbers and out numbers are somewhat anorexic right now. We can all agree that we are Squad Leaders and enjoy leading squads, but can't we also all agree that this profession needs Serious help?

We have an opportunity, through Vemnox on the Correspondent forum, to get it fixed for the last of us holdouts. Lets not waste it with silly delusions and wimpy statements like this!

Maybe you should save your comments like this ffor Captain Vemnox and the threads that ask for it.

A post where someone new to the class being excited about it asks for advice about what tree to go up first is not the place. You said it yourself.

He can read, and he is aware of this board, or he wouldn't have posted here in the first place. I'm sure he knows we have problems. Acknowledgement of those problems is important and valuable to our class and working towards getting them fixed but there is a time and a place, and these threads aren't it.

My goodness. Read my post again. I am attempting to get people to work to get the class better! I always have been. I am negative toward it as it stands, but was always the first to try to give advice to newbies. I gave up on this forum a few weeks ago (come back from time to time.) Honestly, "ignore the others..." You should listen to the others and know what's going on. Look reality in the eye and realize that this profession needs lots of help. It does nothing for you. Nothing! And to each of your arguments I simply say "rez rez rez." With the same skill points a doctor can bring you back from the dead. The squad leader SHOULD have that kind of power. Amazing things for their squads. Not simply mediocre abilities that would be a joke if they were in the FIRST tier let alone the fourth.
