Thread: Question about Leadership skills
Please read this thread when you have a chance on the subject of SL passive bonuses:

I'm operating under the assumption (and it's still a big assumption because I don't know if anyone's attempted to test it for Melee) that if Group Ranged Defense is working then Group Melee defense is working as well. In your Skills Box look for Group Melee Defense +10. This will be separate from any +Melee defenses you have from your weapon skills.
In a nutshel, if all those assumptions are true then a+10 = a +5% greater chance a melee mob will miss you on any given shot (5% = 1 out of 20 shots). Trouble is, our bonusis calculated in with allyour other defenses so you'll never know why any given shot was a -miss-. So without some serious analysis of the combat log (see Noules000's threads linked in the link above for such analysis on Group Ranged Defense) it's easy to dismiss the skill as not working (and at 5% it's a fine line between not working and not worthwhile).

In choosing my Squad Leader skills I figured that melee defense would be very beneficial to me and my rifle toting comrades at arms. I learned Leadership I and haven't repaired any stun or dizzy effects using /formup. I learned Leadership II and I see no change in my Melee Defense.
Leadership II is supposed to give +10 to Melee defense, right? Am I doing something wrong or is this simple feature of the skill not working?
