Ive been experimenting on good ways to keep the squad together/out of danger.

One of the compromises that Ive had to make was the range of the radar. Keep it too close, and you dont see the potential threats, keep it too far out, and you cant see people falling behind.

I started using the overlay map, in combination with the radar zoomed all the way out. Remember the annoying over head map that you use to find things in the city? Well it shows your group as nice, easy to see green arrows (that also point in the direction your squad mate is facing) as well as any mobs that are in the area. If im grouped with people I know, I also use a 'point man' or someone who is guiding the direction the group travels in, and I /follow him. This lets me spend all my time paying attention to both radars, and the action bars of the people in the group. With Hot keys for saying "Sysgroup STOP! <target> has been attacked, break formation and assist him" This really has cut down the time spent on laging members, and people who get agroed.

Thats really wierd, I just figgured out the same exact thing last night. The other advantage of having the map up is that you can see any landmarks, like buildings or waypoints or objectives if your doing missions.

Its definitly not for everyone. Takes some getting used to, to be able to look -through- the map, -at- the map and flick your glance to the radar, all at the same time.

That is what I do I have the radar set at 32m and I keep the redon the OUTSIDE of that I never get a group agroed on. I keep the overlay map out aobut 3/4 of the way just to see the agros in place. This is why I am the SL and not the medic.
