Squad Leader Archive
Thread: Okay...I tried to find the answer without asking here but...
The little group of npcs that seem to follow squad leaders around.....where do you get them? (Assuming I've just become a novice squad leader), and how do you control them?
Next question....The Imps with their AT-STs, are they squad leaders?
I believe that you may have witnessed a Squad Leader waltzing around withtheir factional support personnel. Other classes also get this perk. In order to acquire your factional support personnel you have to achieve the following things.
1.) Join a faction (this means getting 200 faction points from doing either Rebel or Imperial Missions from their respective terminals.
2.) Declare yourself as a rebel (this means to go from covert to overt).
3.) Acquire enough faction points to "purchase" your support personnel from your factional recruiter. Upon purchasingyour personnel, you will be given the opportunity to ask them to group with you, set up combat/movement commands, etc. Also keep in mind that they can be stored in your datapad. Do your best to keep them alive. If they become incapicated, they die. So if you notice, in between battles, that your factional pets are getting low on HAM, store them. Remember, you can have three factional pets active at any one time. I'm not sure how many you can have stored at once.
Hope this helps ![]()
And no, the presence of an AT-ST does not necessarily denote the ownership of a Squad Leader.

Okay....and for a follow up question....
Faction pets...
How do you get them? I assume to you cash in a bunch of faction points at a recruiter and are given them.
Does your rank effect what you get?
What else does rank effect?
Sorry for being such a noob, I've been playing since Beta, but very limited due to a number of real life issues.

Although this is the wrong forum for it, the answers are:
You get faction pets from recruiters. You have to be overt to get them.
Your rank only affects how much faction you can hold. Only pet rank would effect would be the at-st, and that's because you need the rank to hold the faction.
