whats the news from the front lines?
ive been out of the game for a bit......rather frustrated jedi got 2 patches devoted to them while everyone else got squat...kind aburned me out of wanting to play this wretched game.
In any case I havtn seen ya post much since ive been away it seems and was just wondering if theres any tidbits of info about our upcoming revamp....or anything at all the devs have said. Or are they still on square 1 of our revamp and doing absolutely nothign with it right now

Right now is holiday season for the devs it seems... So its hard to get any info.
And yes the Jedi stuff even infected the Correspondents. It was just too much of a temptation for everyone to test out a jedi. I played on TC2 for just 1 day and found being aJedi appalling. But I think we are all back to being sane.
Anyway, our current status in the revamp is still planning. There is nothing set in stone and I feel kinda overwhelmed trying to develop a profession from the ground up for the devs. So its slow going I guess. I'm trying to contact GreenMarine since he was the original developer for Squad Leaders, but it seems he is on vacation or something as well. The good news is that the revamp is being developed right along with the Combat Balance and the GCW which are all going to be tested on a TC2 type enviroment. This means we should get some extensive testing, which will leave us with a well defined profession. We just have to wait.
I will give all the information I can as it becomes available to me. Right now I wish I had something for you.

Irott, why arent we doing a profession revamp document like the smuggler community is?

I was gonna try to get GreenMarine to help me with it like he did for the smugglers... But Im not sure if he is able to.
I have one in the works by myself, but I have just been a little busy with the holidays.

Good luck with getting GM to help us out. Most of his time is with the Jump to Lightspeed and only started to help the smugglers out because they have larger numbers then us, have been promised a full revamp before us and ranted at the Fan Fest. What we need to find is the dev that will be working on our revamp and have him discuss matters with us on this board the way GM does. Just be warned though, if the community doesn't approve of what they will eventually show us then expect us to be delayed until 2005.
