What's your favorite part of being a Squad Leader?
I like guiding my groups into smarter gameplay. There is this real "we are buffed let's just send wave of wave of attacks and eventually we can take them down" mentality that I try to break people from.
What about your other professions, what do you like most about them?
MBH on my SL because I see BH as sort of Advanced Marksman. Its got lots of cool specials and makes me good with pistols and carbines. As for Alts that is a longer list.
How did you come across SWG?
Friend insitsed I buy it. I had never played an mmo before and I thought I wouldn't last a month.
What do you like most about it?
The freedom to do what you want.
Least? (dare I ask)
That many friends have left.
Do you have JTL?
Yes.
If so, do you spend most of your time in space or on the ground?
Its really split ATM. My alts are still grinding ground professions so I do a little of everything.
What faction are you and why?
Was rebel for a long time. I flipped to Imperial to protect a friend who was getting ready for his knight trials and after a long guild debate he decided he'd rather be a dark jedi. Knowing that I'd be useless to him without gtef I flipped.

What's your favorite part of being a Squad Leader?
I am guild leader and I felt it would be a good idea to manifest it in someway with skills. It fits to my character and I had lead groups anyway. So its the rather the role of a squadleader than any skill.
What about your other professions, what do you like most about them?
I am master riflemanand leveld swordman both with release, but dropped swordman in the middle. I originally liked it to fight from a distance, to prone and wait for the red dot coming out of that door.
How did you come across SWG?
I like star wars and played the roleplay(WEG ruleset) for about ten years. But I do not have posters or acting like a nerd with plastic swords. I just stumbled across it almost 4 years ago. The first I read was about different languages and protocoll droids.
What do you like most about it?
The setting andthe original game mechanical idea behind it.
Least?
In short. In no order. Balancing. Loveless world design. Same structures all over. Guild features. Atmosphere (there is none).
Do you have JTL?
Yes.
If so, do you spend most of your time in space or on the ground?
Iam on very seldom at the moment. I wait for the combat upgrade and the GCW-revamp.
What faction are you and why?
I founded the very first german imperial guild. I had star wars toys as a kid and snowtroopers, royal guards and vader were always more cool than the heroes. I enjoy to play an antagonist, they are more interesting than naive hero characters. I also like the majestic but evil feel of it

Well, our little Squad Leader forum doesn't get much traffic; not too many new posts, so I figured one about nix wouldn't hurt (at least less than a muon downer on Sunday).
As was aforementioned, we don't get much traffic. Just how much do we get? How often do you all stop by?

I guess I should answer my own questions, eh?
Well lets see.
I try to stop by at least twice a day, though it depends on how boored/buisey I am. Also, it comes in shifts. Sometimes I'll go a week or so without stopping by (usually corresponding to the release of a good FPS or RTS).
I like being a Squad Leader because, well, I like standing on top of the hill. With the quantity of SLs out there, I have the opportunity to stand out a bit.
My secondary profession is Rifleman. I like it because it is powerfull enough for me not to have to worry about not getting benifits from SL. Sure, it would be nice to be able to buff myself or sell armor or whatnot, but... meh.
How did I come across SWG? Woof, there's one that's been lost in the sands of time. It's a little fuzzy, but I think I remember. Eight grade Christmas break (I'm a freshman in college now) I did a google search for "Star Wars," and started clicking links. At the time I had no idea what an MMO was, or what a forum was for that matter. I started lerking and eventually began to post. Been here ever since.
What I like most about SWG is that it gives me the chance to live in the Star Wars universe. Though I am now a fan of MMO's (because of this), I wasn't origionally (see above), and the Star Wars aspect drew me in.
What I like least is that a lot of the people I've played with have left (WoW draws me too...), and it's getting almost lonely.
I have JTL.
Recently I've been spending most of my time in space, and I will probably continue to do so untill I master pilot.
I'm an Imp pilot. I started the game as a rebel and was so untill JTL came close to release. I've loved Tie Interseptors for a long time and I must fly one.

Recommended by a few friends... most of them have left the game due to boredom

Currently? Flying around in space, helping friends out with missions. Previously, that my little guild could accomplish any high level content we sent our mind too (was a very well organized group...)

Giving terrain negotiaion and defences to my main character(s)

The SL is also a musician, and he's got an AT-ST. The perfect instant sologroup.
How did you come across SWG?
I was at work, minding my own business (aka working) when one of my goofoff... erm. coworkers asked me if I wasn't a Star Wars fan. And he told me that an online Star Wars game was in the making and that a site at Sony's station for it was up. And it was going to be good, because the guys making it has made EverQuest, which he played and loved.
What do you like most about it?
That's it a Star Wars based MMORPG, and that I get to have stormtrooper, AT-ST and TIE fighter pilot uniforms.
Least? (dare I ask)
Nothing really. Except maybe, just maybe that things are too easy. (I don't bother that people move on, those who cited jedi as too big a grind... I can't understand them)

What faction are you and why?
My squad leader is imperial for the AT-ST. My main-main used to be imperial, because he met a nice entertainer who convinced him that imperial was the way to go. (And I wanted a stormtrooper uniform, and I collected the imperial toys as a child. You know, the original ones that came out at the same time as the movies, and I mean the original three movies. I think I still have the AT-AT somewhere.)My main isnow a memeber of the Alliance, becuase the biggest BH group on my server is imperial. 
He may or may not return to being an imperial. Time will show. Also the missions for Black Epsilon squadron was hard on him.Contributing to blowing up a barracks and all that. He's a man of honour.All my alt-mains and alts are imperial.

i like support proffs. i thought it would be the ultimate support proff.

i was carbineer for a while, liked the gun selection.
was tkm and really loved the proff, i would consider returning to it one day.

Im a starwars kid, was raised loving it and would give my right nut to wield a lightsaber. about a year before SWG came out i heard there was going to be a StarWars RP game. I didnt join immediately after launch instead waited it out a bit. Been playing since September '03

Most i like are the graphics and flexibility of professions. Least, the lack of GM's or GM sponsored events...not the SBD & crap UBER NPC's that they use.
