I have been a Master SL 4 times in game now.....but the only wayI can seem to get to SL through survival is to sit in camps.....anyone know any otherways? Or a fast way to grind it out with camps? I don't have alot of game time.....and want to return to SL. So any advice will be greatly appreciated.

More people in your camp helps with faster exp.

Crafting camps in prototype mode also grants you Survival exp. Survival is one of the slowest trees in the game to grind out. No one except Rangers, Squad Leaders, and oldschool BHs know what we go through for our Novice SL box.

3 ways to get survival xp.

#1, place a camp. The more people that run through the camp, the faster xp caps. You can only get a certain amount of xp per camp type.

#2, Craft camps. If you have the resources, do it.

#3, Fish. Catching fish earns your surival xp.

Best is to combine two of those. Have a bunch of people sit in your camps, chat, talk, duel, whatever. You sit and craft camps.

Or, you can have a fishing tourny. Find a place where you can place a camp, and still reach the water without leaving the camp. Then have the tournament.

As an old-school BH, I was so frustrated by the scout survival tree that I resorted to an afk-camp macro. Like you I didn't have much in-game time, nor did I have the resources to grind camps (plus I don't think they even had practice mode back then). =/

EDIT: I still had this link on my favorites...from the dates you can see how old it is:

Having people or pets healed in your camp crank up the Wilderness xp for the camp too. You don't have to do the healing, it just needs to be done in your camp

Thesepoints will help you when grinding survival

(believe me I know I am a Master ranger as well)

1. Place your camp just outside a busy city (cnet is the best)

in this spot most peeps will at least run past your camp and

some even stop to say hi or noobs stop to say what you doin.

IN about a hour you can have as many as 20 peeps come by

2. Take down camp every 10 min

3. I suggest just crafting camps while sitting in your camp

When crafting camps make sure to use the highest level camp you can

(not too many options with scout)
