Thread: Any Squad Leader bugs in Publish 18?
- Don't report here any old stuff that is still broken.
- Don't propose here any new ideas for fixing or revamping the profession.
- Don't ask here for status updates on anything else.
The only bugs I noticed were the same old ones.. SteadyAim only last 1 shot still.
Greetings SL's. I am new to this profession but I have been playing mmorphs for years. I am not sure if this is a new bug so please bear with me. I am a Master SL. and from time to time I find myself just standing thier with my SL hotkeys greyed out. I run no macros and i don't spam keys till i see the skill is available. If I try Rally then Steady aim, i can't shoot after...maybe its me thinking too many steps for my computer to push out, with the new codings? Next thing I get is invalid target messages because the npc is dead. Well tonight im gonna assemble a group and hit some bigger targets to play test this alittle more.
I like this profession, just i picked the worst template to work with it... Master Commando/Master SL, both professions have no specials nor fruity flavors. But i like leading my friends into battle with a big boom.

I have noticed that there has been some added annoying lag to the squad leader abilities steady aim and rally, somtimes rally will have the power up then nothing happens, then 5 minutes later it does the power up again and it works, might just be a leg issue for me and not everyone. Both steady aim and rally still have problems sticking to everyone even when Im standing still, Ive formed the group, all group members are special forces and im not doing anything else but standing.
Mods on group members are not showing in skills or character sheet, I read somwhere after last publish that some people could see it? I never could.
Steady aim doesnt work, or like above somone said for one shot? I just figured it didnt do anything other than put a state icon on group members next to thier name. Even if it did work the time limit before it wears off is so short its useless. Only way an ability that lasts for one shot and wears off in 30 seconds is going to be usefull is if it gives a +500 accuarcy bonus or somthing crazy.
Rally also wears off to fast. This would be a very nice ability if it would last a couple minutes. HEY DEVS! MAKING A SIMPLE CHANGE LIKE EXTENDING THE SL ABILITIES CANT BE THAT HARD? can it?
Form up no longer works in pvp, this was intended in the last publish, this ability should just be deleted from the game now, unless its made to cure all states. Then it might be of some use for hunting or pretending your in some intense action killing the exact same spawn of stormtroopers over and over and over again while pretending your part of a galactic war.
Somthing more related to scout but an ability that SL has is improved camp. Somtimes you can still get attacked even though when crafting the camp the info says that you are safe.

Absolutely true. I've also done a small mathematical analysis of steady aim. Take a look here to get the confirmation that it's at the moment absolutely contraproductive.

I wouldn't complain if it would last a bit longer, but it's more or less in line with similar abilities. (Duelist stance, anynone?) Thus i don't expect this to get changed soon.

By now i can say, the statement by itself was wrong. The last days i had some base busting action which also included a big deal of PvP. (If you want more info, go to the Infinity galaxy board and look around... Operation Imperial Dagger...)
With formup i was able to clear stun and dizzy which were induced by hostile Jedi. I was not able to help our Jedi in any way, though, when they were attacked by a bounty hunter. (Which i actually consider a quite ridiculous. over 30 imperials, busting a rebel base, and some BHs can simply walk in and pick the Jedi down and nobody in the team can do anything about it. I personally consider that to be an exploit, they use the system to strike at single members of our team without having to fear the team next to them...)

I've noticed people I'm not seeing anyone except myself getting the Rally icon either lately(we've been passing Group Leader around quite a bit recently, training a new SL and stuff so its probably part of that) but I will see everyone get the Steady Aim icon (provided they are on leave). Really weird part, I may not see them get the Rally icon, but I think they are seeing it, in fact one of my friends had to jump to another planet for a few minutes and reported seeing the Rally icon even though we were on different planets!
