Is SL a good class, if it is what are some of the things I should know before I dive head long in to it?

Read the first 10 or sothreads and you'll be able to have a pretty clear idea. Then you can decide for yourself.

That's true enough. SL forum is pretty much clean and easy going. Best way to get an idea of what being a Squad Leader is about is to go through some of the threads and see what we have to say about our profession without us being asked about it, that way you wont get much exaggeration.

now to any suggestions on how to grind and such, I'm near master pistoleer got some scout

All the XP is pistol...just do what you are doing for Pistoleer and you will be set. There isn't really a good or bad way to do the lines as far as order goes either.
