Thread: Question for SLs
At the moment, everyone is crying for Mind damage to be healable. Since I dont feel it should be healed by a stimp pack, since it is your mental health. Wich is usually healed by shrinks. Or buy entertainment. I suggested a Squad Leader if Mind were to be healed. Such as /boostmoral. Wondering what you guys think of this?

This is a point bought up just recently and I have kind of just watched it develop. A mind heal would significantly reduce the woe's of the insanely-high mind costs for our abilities, so it would be a welcome addition in both ways. I'd like to see what everyone else thinks...
Hey, Mind Heal is great...but what kinds ofabilities are we going to get to benefit OURSELVES? If Squad Leader continues the way it is, the only people playing it will be Jesus and Gandhi.

I would be in favor of this on a limited scale. I can just imagine someone on the battlefield who has been shocked senseless when their Squad Leader comes up and says, "The battle isn't won yet, pull yourself together. We have a mission to complete!" and the individual's training kicks in, with a "Yes Sir!" (or ma'am in my case) the trooper is ready to fight again.
This would also give the second Squad Leader in a group something to do, if such a situation ever came about. I know SLs are not the most popular of professions. ![]()
Put it on a 15second timer, and make it unable to be self targetted. Also, put it in the mobility line starting with mobility 2, then another at mobility 4 and the final version at master squadleader. The reason for this is, the mobility line is empty and completely worthless with the proliferation of scout skills in the game already, so it would help fill that out. Also by placing the first version at mobility 2 you make it a real sacrifice in points for people who want even the worst mind heal. The difference between the 3 versions should just be healing efficiency and how many times a SL can use it before their own mind pool(which they can't heal themselves) runs out.
This would be a very very useful ability then. If you have 1 or 2 people taking the damage in a bigger fight, throwing off a boost moral would then rebalance that damage they have onto some of the folks who arent drawing aggro, and thus the tanks lasting longer.
This would also effectivly be a mind heal if you have a good doctor/combat medic in the group the action/damage pools will always be near full on everyone, with their mind pools dwindling to nothing. a boost moral would fix that =)
