Thread: Are Squad Leader buffs cumulative
If so maybe a huge group of squad leaders would be deadly.
This is just for large fight, i am aware that since there can be only one group leader this isnt the best idea just to hunt a few womp rats
Squad Leader bonuses are only bestowed if the Squad Leader is also the Group Leader.
Since a group can only have one Group Leader, it is worthless to have more than one Squad Leader in a group.

Whoops, I might have picked the wrong profession then...I'm like second man in a group but not the master of where to go all the time or being the great leader shouting HUGE group forming....hmm...oh well still work towards it for a while.
Yes.
At this time, the Squad Leader profession is for people who genuinely enjoy (and are capable of) running large hunting groups. Its the only way you get XP. Its the only way you bestow bonuses.
It is not a "bard" type class that contributes without leading, although it shares some similarities.
I know the theory: that therefore you gain nothing from having more than one in a group.
But... I don't know the details of the Squad Leader abilities, so it makes me wonder... Are there any SL abilities that are used and have a duration (as opposed to things like ranged defense and terrain navigation that are in permanent effect)? If there are, then MAYBE if one SL used the ability, and then used the command to make another SL the new group leader (I forget the command - /makeleader or something like that), maybe they could use it again before the timer wore off?
Wow, thats a neat idea, but would be tricky to implement in practice. But put nothing past determined players. ![]()
/rally is the special most appropriate for this.
I'm pretty sure that never got tried in Beta, and there's not enough (any?) Squad Leaders in Release to test that yet.
As soon as I find another Squad Leader on my server, I will try this out ![]()
Keen idea!
