Thread: Burst run with exploration IV
When you get to Master Squad Leader you have +60 to group burst run efficiency if you or any of your group members happens to have Exploration IV then that is already a +40 burst run efficiency. So in total you have 100 burst run efficiency. I thought I was bugging when I didn't take some HAM damage when using my burst run but nope it's a fact. If you have 100 Burst Run Efficiency it will cost you 0 HAM to run.

The formula is probably just:
Normal Burst Run HAM Cost * (100 - Total Burst Run Efficiency)/100
Basically your Burst Run Efficiency is just a percentage that reduces the cost of Burst Run by that percentage.
Any one else find Burst Run Efficiency to be pretty worthless? It seems like longer duration, shorter time-between-use, or greater speed would all be more valuable but not overpowering.
There have been a few times I've tried burst running to escape a fight, but was unable to because I didn't have sufficient HAM. If burst run cost 0, thenI would have been able to start running in those situations. However, in those situations where HAM cost is actually an issue, it's unlikely I'd actually be able to get out of range of whatever was attacking me before it killed me anyway.
In all other situations, the HAM cost of burst run really doesn't concern me.
I also don't like the implication that two of the SL's major abilities (/retreat and burst run efficiency) are both essentially designed to make them thebest at running away from a fight.
I would like to see longer duration or shorter recycle instead of lower HAM costs. (Perhaps burst run endurance instead of efficiency). I think higher speeds would just make Exploration even more of a "must have"skill treefor PvP.
