Thread: Local SL Pats Self, Colleagues on Back

Just returned from touring the other profession forums, particularly the Bounty Hunter Profession. I have to say that from what I've seen this forum and its correspondant are the most concise thinkers, clearest communicators, and progressive workers out of all of them. Everywhere else I look, I see nothing but flame wars and ranting. The only correspondant who's posts I checked was speaking in gibberish and his discussion was a mess (a hateful mess at that). Here I look and see the correspondant is organized and has put up multiple threads to address the top five issues, each followed by a long and well-thought out discussion by the various participants. And no one has insulted anyone else yet (taht I saw).

It makes me really hope some progress is going to get made in this profession. It also makes me a bit sad, because I'm not sure what of value can come from the other debates going on with the other professions that I saw. But lets give ourselves a pat on the back for being able to actually move in a positive direction here.

The Carbineer forum is great as well about that stuff, except the BH vs. Carbineer wars, which are luckily contained.

Wish I could say the same about the Pistoleer forum Vol. But Prez is right. We definitely are the smartest group on the boards. They should nerf us.

Yeah I have stopped reading the Rifleman forum altogether with the constant posts about someone should be able to heal mind and Rifleman do way too much damage. Hehe most posts are from non rifleman stirring up nerf crap.

First thing I commented on in my report today is about how I've never seen a community that acts as mature and competent as this one. I ask for an idea, and I get one ... that's rare!

We are a generally a supporting Profession and one that takes thought to be successfull. We aren't going to draw in the type of people who want instant power. Because of that I believe that most, if not all of us, are generally older more mature individuals who are looking at far ranged goals for themselves or their PA's/regular groups and not just the here and now. Now is transitory but tomorrow is wide open for us.

Couldn't agree more Rigal. I hope to command my own fleet in the future, not be one of the grunts.
