Thread: How does working ranged(melee) defence?

Although SL has Group Ranged (Melee) Defence, how does this work to Group? Reduction of an enemy's rate of a hit? Reduction of an enemy's damage? Or whatotherare they?　And does this have an effect also to itself?　If it knows, please let me know.
