You can never grief to much. I mean, unless you are totaly driving the community insane (but who knows maybe thats what it will take).
Realy though, the only way this profession is going to get noticed is if people post their dissatisfaction. Keep it up.

Since reaching the plateau of Master Squad Leader I havespent timehanging out nearstarportssurveying or chatting. I spent my timeon Endor, Lok, Dathomir and Dantooineand as of yet have not recieved on invite or queryto join a group. I feel like I offer as much as a Novice Artisian with their CDEF for groups right now.

Theprecieved worth of Squad Leadersin the SWG community really couldn't be lower.

I've been reading and posting in the forums since the release and am well aware that we are going to recieve some attention eventually.

I know that I am griefing too much ...I just want them to help this profession.

Your not alone, trust me, makes me not want to log in to play. I started going up the scout tree again towards CH. Let me tell you thats excitement, that basic class offers more per block than entire lines of blocks in the Squad Leader class.

My advice unless you are maxed in SL concentrate on deveopling your other skills first.

I wanted to be a SL ever since I heard the description, some time before launch. I planned my character, did his background and struggled all the way. I nowhave a Squad Leader on Wanderhome. Used to be my primary character, I convinced all my friends to choose Wanderhome.

I now play on Bloodfin because I am thouroghly sick of my "primary" character. Why? Because I have spent so long on getting a class that will do NOTHING. Because I HAVE to group with morons all the time. If SL was a better Profession (and it looks to be improving) maybe I would not have to suffer the idiots just to get xp, I could simply kick them from the group (Not that that removes their HAM from my list but that's another issue).

I've been doing a lot of comparison between the elite classes as I begin accumulating XP that can now be applied to the Novice SL box. I've come to the conclusion that SL was left in a 'draft' or unfinished state. There is not a single elite profession that has so little meat to it, to say nothing of polish. And then I find out that not everything it is supposed to have actually functions or is useful in practice given the HAM costs and failure rates. And then I find out that the design of the profession precludes Medics from attempting it: SL XP is earned by fighting, not by actually succeeding at using SL specials. To listen to people, you would think a couple of the other professions had itworse than SL, but now I realize that there are just so few SLs that you rarely ever come accross any mention of the SL profession, good or bad, outside of the lightly populated SLboard.

There is no way I am putting any skill points into SL, even just novice. By using an alias that colors my chat text, I can accomplish something that is almost as good as Sys Message to Group, right? As far as I can tell, the one decent thing SL hasis the terrain bonuses, and that might be worth going far enough into SL to pick up some of that. What's the concensus?

Anyway, I'm waiting for now, hoping there will be a second round of Dev feedback soon that will breathe life into this profession.

Want to hear something amusing?

The other night, I was doing some solo missions (my friends were all at work) and I was invited to a group. Instantly upon joining the group, the current leader promoted me to leader and sent a group tell "We can leave now we have a Squad Leader" ..

Now.. I know what you are all thinking, because I thought the same things.. Here were my thoughts/reactions as I proceeded to laugh..

---Do these people know what they're doing?

---This is hilarious!

---This is what it SHOULD be like...

Anyhow.. I thought I'd post this only because I found this situation to be VERY amusing, and thought that you might too..

True story..

Oh it's funny, because alot of ignorant gamers still think that tittle does something and its soooo hollow sooo empty. But yeah sometimes it happens to me too. Every group I get into all the responsibility shifts to me too, and it kinda sucks, if no one wants to lead us anywhere or doesnt know what t do I get asked what we are doing.
