Thread: No L for nonSL types
I just lost my little Wolfie, because a DEV is placing too much emphasis on aggresive pets and not enough emphasis on training. The DEV who made the decision to do this didn't consult this forum, didn't consult any forum other than CH.
Therefore, since CH is being so stingy with their abilities, I propose we do too. Wanna form a group, too bad, you need Novice SL to invite. That's my proposal. It's not much, but hey, I have anything to lose, but a cl8 red nonCH pet, which I have already lost.
Ya know what, its not time for new abilities. It's time to NERF, this is what the DEVS want to do, so please correspondant of SL, nerf all leader skills for nonSL classes. No more invites for you.
I'm not sure I spelled out what I am proposing.
No group shall form, unless the group is lead by a person with Novice SL trained. If this doesn't so what, there isn't any reason atm for grouping, besides for CH's to monitor there pets. NONE!
Allow me to point you to a comment made on another thread.

Pay particular attention to Findima, who believe the big patch nerfs to CH were overkill. For this he believes that all other classes should not have pets under cl15, if they are aggresive.

This is a very bad idea, I don't think I even need to point out why.
Would be nice if you did to give folks examples of what works and what doesnt =)

Squad leader isn't a terribly easy class to get to quickly for the average player what with the combat exp requirements. For myself, it was probably two to three weeks of playing before I reached the class, and during that time I was in groups on a constant basis. Grouping is an integral part to how people play this game, and as it is the grouping system for this game is pretty good (compared to the others MMOs I've played in.) To take away such a basic function of the game and force people to have to be a class, let alone a currently broken class, in order to use it would be insane.
Besides, the entire origin of this idea seems to be nothing more then the result of someone being upset with creature handlers, or the devs, or quite possibly both, and that's never a good sign as to how well thought outan idea may be.
Knee-jerk revenge nerfs are not the way to help the profession.
