Do the bonuses from branch one of the SL tree apply only when you are grouped or do they work for the Nov. Squad Leader when he's alone also?

SL's abilites only work while being the leader of a squad.

Now, you CAN use the SL abilities while grouped with your pets. which technically IS solo.. hehe

I think the real answer to this is they work neither solo nor when grouped...

I would read the SL forums a little more thoroughly before making that choice ;-)

From what i've seen, I agree with chandler. The defense bonuses do not work, or they do little to nothing noticable if they do.

The terrain bonuses, do work though but if you are just doing this with pets, is a lot more cost effecient to just get exploration 4 in scout tree. Since nothing over 50 terrain negotation really does anything (it affects prone speed).

Yeah, I'll have Explore 4 anyways because I'll need it for BH Carb.

ummm.... explore4 is a prereq for SL, so you will have it anyway
