Squad Leader Archive

In the 1st week of playing it seemed to me that every group I got into or formed would be leaderless. No one would take theinitiative, to MOVE, get missions... GO GET XP. Everyone would stand around waiting. I would almost always be the one to get us moving & direct the group tactics & all.

After I made Master Scout, it seemed to me that Squad Leader was the natural choice. I now regret it. Turns out that there is no meat to it, no real reason to bother. I shoulda went with BH or Ranger or something. =/

Hopefully the Devs will do something soon. Make it so people actually WANT us in groups! =D I am going to stick to it for a couple more weeks before I give it up.

Yep, smoking something. I only wish I had read these forums 1st. Let's hope changes are in the works. Or something. At least I would hope they would tell us if NO changes were planned so I could stop wasting my time.

Peopleask,"Why did you pick squad leader if you could've just read the skill tree and saw that it sucked?" I think theseare idiotic assessments from, undoubtedly, non-squad leaders. If the skill tree had said, for example, rally - fails more often than not, costs 200 mind, andhas no noticeable effect except for disallowing you from doing things; or volley fire - forces medics into combat and does not allow special moves; or group ranged/melee defense - has been turned off since Beta; or retreat - suicide ability, then I would never have taken squad leader in the first place. It is not your fault for choosing to be a squad leader. I'm sure everyone here wants to be a squad leader. It is the game itselfthat is stopping us.

c'mon Vem, you must be smokingsomething yourself then. We all were, it's not our fault for chosing this profession only to find out it was not what we imagined. I played for 2 months in beta 3 before it finally got released (I knew it wasn't finished) and I only got a few boxes up in to Pistoleer. Even after playing in the betaI knew I wanted to be a Squad Leader because of the groups I was in on Endor and had a blast. I only wish I could have gotten the survival XP to train it before release so I could havetried it out. I think that's part of the problem, there wasn't enough high level characters during beta to get posivite/useful feedback on professions.
