Squad Leader Archive

Ok. I have been reading all the SL post since the beging and I have been many classes and was told by many people i should be an SL. I thought it was going to be hard to level based on the post but i have only had the class not even a day and only 8 hours of game time and i have 1 tree (tactics) almost complete I am a pistoleer as well. I fight tuskens most of the time AVg. of 2k per kill . i have found that SL class is really not a leader class at all. In fact in my opion the class just seems to be a good thing for a CH to get. But i plan on sticking with the class buecause most people see no point in SL unless your are a real leader. most of my groups level well and dont die. I only got this class cause im always leading groups any ways. but now seeing the perks it dosn't seem that good of a choice for a leader. i think the sl class should be able to do much more Leader type things. like:

1. Make fire squads to have a more well round use of specials that way a melee grroup dosn't get aimed shot. and since melee takes most of the damg u can use form up to remove dizzyness and stun.

2. at novice SL i would like to see more perks like attack speed and def. mods.

as my closeing statment i think this class has great possabiltys. i know the DEVs are doing there best and have other issues, but i would love to see some of the classes become more divverus.

You're probably already up 1 tree because "I fight tuskens most of the time AVg. of 2k per kill". Chances are you aren't leading anything, you just have a little (L) by your name in the group and you're right there zerging with the rest of them.

If you fail to see the benifits of a Squad Leader to a group then you should play something else not just because you group people up. If you are looking for an obvious tangible effect on a group you might go combat medic, doctor, smuggleror chef(honest). They have buffs you can see as it affects their HAM bar visiably. SL do what you cant see with your eyes. they lead. But like the wind which you cannot see, you just see the leaves move.

sorry for the way late reply. After i mastered SL i found most of the skills where broken. and or didnt work at all. some stop the group rom healing and retraet is a group kill. i found SL is just as broken as some other classes in truth a SL should be a very wanted class in any group but of course it is not cause most of the skills are broken.
