Squad Leader Archive

Hi guys and gals.

Thought I would pop on and say hello as being the guild leader I decided to go for Squad Leader as we regularly hunt with several squads of 20 together and I have found the /sys to be a great tool in keeping the squad organised.

I know a lot of you think having full groups of 20 to get squad leader exp is a bit zerg fighting but I through practice I`m getting a lot better at organising and controlling the squad. You are right in that its 95% about your ability to command your group and 5% about our skills but I the terrain bonus is helpful and Ive always been one for going for the underused proffesion in mmorpg so Im not complaining.

Lets hope they hit the squad leader with a big slice of buff cake in the upcoming patches where us that have took the time to reach high levels squad leaders will be rewarded. I do believe the proffesion needs to be revamped and some of the ideas I have read on this forum was the ideas I already had.

Keep faith as just like the commando class we will get buffed up soon =) I just got a good feeling about it!

i completly agree with you, im sure that the squad leader will become a very importaint profession eventualy, we just need to wait for the DEVs to get around to improving them, from what i can tell they have a lot of areas of the game they need to fix so it probalbly wont be a while until they get around to us. all we can do is stay positive and continue posting good ideas of how SL should be improved so when they do get around to fixing our choosen path, they know what we want.

I'm a squad leader for EOC on the Kauri server and even though it is a very buggy profession at the moment, I enjoy ever minute of it and would never sell my skill points. Everyone in my guild and others who join me all give me respect for using such an under used class that needs vast improvement. The sysgroup command is just fun by itself, keeps everyone in check and I use macros and colours to spice it up a little. Let's just hang in there SLs, we will be one of the most powerful professions in the coming months, I just sense it.

Ditto. Guild/Squad Leader also. I stopped holding my breath for this profession acouple weeks ago. I also stopped playing this game regularly a couple weeks ago.

Guild / Squad Leader here as well. All I can say is, I love being a squad leader and will continue to do so even if we don't get anything awesome. I love that I have a class that describes what I can do with personal talents and skills, and that I can acheive great things without the aid of buttons or commands.

For instance, last night my PA had "NIGHT OF100 BAZ LAIRS" in a very B-horror-movie fashion. Foiled by server down and a slow start, we only made it it to 85 in one night. =P

heh...give you 2 guesses to what i am aswell....

Guild/Squad Leader

Its just the right proffesion for my character and I have to control groups of 40 people sometimes and even though theres not that much benefit to being a SL you get that little more respect and patience from your group when you are.

*Jebu waits for someone to hand SL a big slice of the buff cake*

Throw one more on the guild/squad leader pile. We should have a party.
