Thread: Squad Leader revamp issues

Been testing the SL revamp out, looks promising. Some of my first impression feed back with it:

2nd chance: Currently it doesn't seem to be working properly. Also I think that this should be switched with Blaze of Glory, that skill seems like a true master ability.

Group buffs: When switching buffs it works properly for the SL but it will stack with the new buffs for group members.

Leadership: Its hard to tell which skills are affected by this mod, glad that its in game though.

Pistol XP: Can we get rid of this or make it so you need a line of pistol, carbine, rifle and combat xp. This would make sense since we get rifle, carbine and pistol certs in the trees.

Retreat!: Skill will be rarely used simply because it is a major burden on the squad. Instead of dropping down action and mind and giving -100 to regen for 60 seconds it should give -100 accuracy. HAM costs for the SL should remain the same as on live.

Rally Point: Does it have to be a pink waypoint? Be nice to have it be a different colour or be able to use the colour code like the system message.

System Message: Anyway to add a little sound clip like a beep when the message appears?

Painted Target/Called Shot: Are these the same skills? They look identical to me...I could see multiple SLs in a group using these to paint the entire enemy team and it would be a little unbalancing if it were the case.

I haven't grouped with multiple SLs yet. I think they need to move some of the skills such as retreat, charge to working only if you are a group leader. If not these will be abused, you could techincally chain link charge with the SLs and create a burst run that lasts for several minutes.

I think there are a couple that should go upto Master. Blaze of Glory and Volly Fire come to mind, and comboing the two will be very very powerful.

My immediate thought on the pink WP thing is that they're trying to match the color of the Group Leader dot on the overhead map.


But I haven't actually seen the color myself, so I don't know.

I have to sort of agree. It will come out and everyone will flock to it and all those button pushers will suck at it
and give us true SL a bad name.


My toons are all support toons. It take a special player to play true support. That's why I'm liking the changes that I'm seeing. To be effective, I'm going to have to make quick switches and adjust as I see the battle lay out. Not just Click click Kill ... Click click Kill.


I've played it on Test center enough to be craving patch 25 to get here but in a way... if it waits till "Trials..." it may be better for us true SL. People will be too busy with the new places and items totry SL.


I'm still not going to cry if it came out say ... Tomorrow! :^b

Fortunatly, I have just made SL kick ass in the old/new guild I will be joining again. After several quests they stated that SL kicks ass. Those that don't find groups, will leave the profession or they'll take the best branches of our profession. That's why I really don't hunt in say, MO or any place like that. The type of person I personally am is a guildie through and through. When I first got RotW I did 3 N-K runs in one night. After that, I didn't want to see N-K for a long, long time. The other night with my...*sighs thoughtfully* friends, I enjoyed it. Even joked around with becoming an N-K professional. lol I don't just join up with groups. To many things can go wrong. I will work with people I trust. On my server, besides the guild I'll be in, there's only 3 other people I will work with. I thought I was giving myself a bad name, on Kette, but as I grow each day as SL, reading and doing, I learn that my way may not be the best way, but it's a right way. Just need to find people to trust. Which luckily, I have.
