Thread: Defence bonus bug?

Have them look under "G" for Group Ranged Defense and Group Melee Defense. It doesn't seem to show up in the base stats. Hopefully it is applied corredtly because there is no real way to tell.

ok thanks i will check, i thought i skimmed the rest of my mods for something like this but i might not have, will check then let you know

i just got leadership 2 and tactics 2 tonight. when i formed a new group and was leader i noticed my melee defence was still showing up in my stats window as +7 and my ranged defence was still at +6. i asked other members to look at thier ranged defence mods and while some people didnt know what thier original values were so couldnt tell me if it was working, some people had less than +10 for ranged and melee defence...


is this a known bug? is it just for me? can anyone confirm thier defence mods not adding into everyones stats? or do i not understand how the mod is saposed to work.?

ok i checked it out last night. i got 1/4/4/4 so saposedly everyone is saposed to have a +25 melee defence and +25 raged defence modifier when grouped with me. now i checked it out on my screen. whether i am grouped or not i always have the skill mod "group melee defence" or "group terrain negotiation" modifier.


when i am leading a group. i asked some people to write down thir regular melee defence and ranged defence mod numbers, then grouped them. the numbers were identical to when they were ungrouped. i then asked them to search thier mod panel for a something reading "group melee defence" one of those. and the responce was a nada.


this is really impossible to test if this is an invisible mod or not, atleast for the players, i think the devs should take a look at it. i have a feeling the terrain negotiation mod does work even though it doesnt show up for other players. thats easily testable. the defence mods are not however.


anyone have any insite into this / experience the same thing?

If you go into your skill box (the lightning bolt on your toolbar), look in your skill mod box. This has all your skills in it like languages, weapon experimentation +5, etc.


Whenever there is a skill mod bonus (ie. a skill tape or BE clothes) it will show that skill mod as follows +0/+17. Or it might have a number at the begining depending if you have a skill in that or not. When you are a Squad Leader you get the Group Terrain Negotiation\burst run\defencesskill mods... but no one else will be able to see it. All they need to do is add in a bonus number (as in the BE clothe example above) or put it in the buffs display box that is comming in the next patch.


This has been one of our big problems since the begining... its hard to tell if anyone is getting bonuses or not.
